I'm gravitating towards leaving once the BW-SC2 scene starts rolling in. It just feels like a good chance to make a clean break and give something else, new and wonderful, a chance, instead of settling for something that I feel is, for the lack of a better word, inferior. I might tune in a few times, but nowhere close as frequent as before. Just know, that even if I do decide to leave, I'll miss you guys.

We need to have some kind of a BW farewell dinner or something .....

I kind of compare them to watching random sports games and watching a sports game that involves my hometown team(in this case Houston). Sure, both are good, exciting games where I can find enjoyment watching. But there's just no comparison when it comes to dedication.

Why not continue to support Starcraft though just because the BW-pros may/may not be switching to sc2 and completely change games and disregard what Starcraft is? Starcraft is Starcraft, weather it be BW, WoL, HotS, or any other Starcraft game that may come out in the future. I understand how some people feel about how the game is much different now but I mean, it was the same for us die-hard Gears of War fans when GoW2 and GoW3 came out. Most people who played GoW1 competitively HATED GoW2 and dont have much care for GoW3 (like myself) and just go back and play gow1. But just because the competitive players from GoW1 hated its "successors", we really dont have much choice but to move on because the the scene moved away from the game and onto the newer releases. Im not trying to start an argument or anything of the sort, I just want to understand why BW fans would rather switch and go to LoL instead of continuing to support Starcraft and helping it grow even more. It kind of hurts my heart. I'm not here for the "scene" or for your heart, I'm here for the game. When BW dies and all the best progamers are playing SC2, I will give it a shot. With more professional experience, a few extra years of strategic evolution, expansion sets, and new maps, it could turn out to be a decent game, but if it is not fun to play or watch, and yes I will compare it to Broodwar, I won't play or watch it.

I personally love bw, and while having the korean pro scene to watch is a luxury, I dont need it to continue enjoying my time here. As long as there are foreign tournaments and leagues going on ill probably still play in them. Also there is a large "casual" scene in korea (afreeca streams etc) that hopefully will not just die out because of what progamers do, that can provide just about as high level games as there were in proleague. im thinking about all the ex-progamers/amatuers etc who still play on fish and stream, and possibly making money off of it because its awesome and completely unrelated to what kespa decides to do.
