I for one think that if Best wins his game SKT will have a very good chance of winning, his vZ's been ridiculously good this season, he's had a better record than Bisu. If he can pull out a win, be it against the main line of KT or against KT zergs, that would be huge. If Bisu and Fantasy aren't matched up against the main line of KT they will likely win, and even if they do it's still at least evenly spread. Best winning would be critical to ending the game before ACE or pushing it to ACE where SKT has had time to prepare for a strategy on Neo Chain Reaction for almost a month.

Then, what's the point of getting a higher place during the regular season?
You get to rest and prepare builds for 1 team only. They just made a large advantage huge
Actually they start by preparing for 3, then 2, then 1. Technically, the time the two teams spend preparing for each other with 100% confidence is the same.
I would say KT actually has an advantage because they have more exposure to the maps during playoff time which could be different from the regular season.
Bisu > CH, Fanta > Action, Sun < Stats, Best < Flash Soo < Hoejja Hyuk > Mind Fanta < Flash
And the winner is.......... KT!! (again, meh)
What if Soo actually beats Hoejja ? Think about it. SKT wins but we are denied an epic FvF grand finals ace match. Everything depends on two scrub zergs + Show Spoiler +
(ok Hoejja owns during those playoffs, but that does not clear his 30% ZvZ and ZvT record from '08 to '11)
fighting in a matchup dictated by build order wins.
Given Mind's super-slump and who KT decided to send out during the playoffs so far, I'd be more inclined to replace Mind with Wooki in that potential lineup list.

The outcome of the finals is indeed largely determined by coin-flip ZvZ(s) just like last year.
