1) Request from your end. (click link, from browser) 2) Computer sends http get request 2a) File transfered over internet 3) Tracker/teamliquid server processes request - sends file as http response 4) File sent over internet 5) Your computer receives http response & file 6) Data is Processed & Passed to Browser 7) Browser processes file : Two possibliilties now A - Requested To Save to Disk 8a) Browser saves file to disk B - Request to open with Agent 8b) Browsers passes file to default agent So we both have mangled files thru the entire process. What i did was remove the browser from the equation, and manually sent the http get request with the exact headers that firefox sends, and manually saved the http response. In this case, the file is complete and works. Note that the tracker/teamlquid server has no notice at that im not actually using a browser - they are just responding to http requests. So for my problem, i think i can isolate the problem from steps 7 & on. I also only have a problem with firefox, internet explorer downloads fine. For yours, i dont have the data - but assuming the problem is not in the tracker/server and you cannot download the file with other browsers, you likely have a problem in step 1,2 5 or 6. Its possible that you have some agent that is modifiying either the http get request before it leaves your computer, or modifying the data after you receieve it. | ||
