After three and a half years of continuous uploads, the nevake channel has finally reached 10,000 VODs!
Throughout Brood War's history (and long may it live), the following people have all given vasts amounts of their time uploading VODs to help bring Professional Brood War to the foreign community and we would like to thank each and every one of them:
Without VOD uploaders, our scene would not and could not be as prosperous and vibrant as it is today.
To celebrate the 10,000th upload to nevake, I have uploaded the first ever broadcasted Professional Brood War match.

The nevake channel was generously donated by nevake 4 years ago as it had full length video privileges on YouTube, at this time new channels were restricted to 10 minute uploads.
The first BW related VOD uploaded to this channel was uploaded on the 25th November 2007 and it was a tutorial on how to clear mines with Dragoons without detection:
On the 4th May 2008 the first Proleague VOD was uploaded to the channel. This was maGma[S.G] vs Jaedong on Katrina SE :
Since then thousands of Proleague, MSL, OSL and other tournament VODs have been uploaded. Thanks to everyone for watching and subscribing. Here's to another 10k!
CHEERS!!! NEVAKE FTW!!! We love you TL!!! Also we need more TL attacks for BW. Didn't lilsuzie say something about getting other MBC gamers to do TL attack???
Being a SC2er who became interested in watching BW, I thank nevake with all of my heart for uploading these videos, as his channel is the channel I go to when I want to watch.
The Small VOD thread, the Jon747 account and the nevake account altogether make up the reason I'm still here at TL today. You guys made watching BW not just enjoyable, but incredibly easy to do.
Fuck TL.net! Always manages to bring those much genuine tears into my eyes. Moktira, you are the best, if it wasn't because of you, I honestly don't know what to do at my grieving period of losing my girlfriend, when my parents are figthing with each other. At end of the day, there is nothing more to look forward to then to pop up ITouch and then getting a VOD out of your channel (and so many other's <3) and fall to sleep while watching Korean commentators yelling REEEBA! REEBA! REEEBA! into my dreams. I applaud this community for everything that it stands for me.
thanks so much mok and everyone who has ever contributed to nevake. you cannot understate how valuable this channel has been for the foreign starcraft community. long live nevake, long live jon747, long live bw!
also, crazy to see all the differences back then in terms of balance. i'd been awesomely hilarious if we can all get together and play some pre 1.06 games ahah
Incredible! I remember first getting into the pro BW scene in 2008, and watching my first vods there, I remember watching Luxury and Stork play, and Stork quickly became my favourite player!
Absolutely amazing. I've sunk away countless hours watching this VODs, all the way back in the Paleman (with his website) and Emlary days. Kudos to everyone who built this up to what it is today!
I also want to point out that this is probably one of the most tedious/monotonous/thankless yet so vitally important jobs for our scene to have grown into what it is today. We really need to show appreciation to our uploaders.
I love chilling and just spending a few hours watching his vods. Congratulations to everyone who helped the channel and I wish you the best of luck for the future!
This makes me feel so lucky to of come to the scene at a time when VODs were so easily available. This is such a great accomplishment, thanks so much to everyone that helped out.
For many years nevake provided endless hours of after school entertainment. Unfortunately, I can't say I've seen all 10 000 VODS, but can I get a gold star for coming close?
Youtube is blocked here in China, but I used to watch games on nevake channel when I was living in France, and hitting 10k is just a huge milestone that I'm glad to celebrate.
Nevake gives so much joy into my life, and do not forget Jon747 ! Thanks to everyone who have ever upload a vod in those channels, makes my life easy to handle. ^^
Congratulations guys, I feel like I just watched the first ever meeting between Zerg and Protoss and it was this match which sparked 12 years of conflict. To another 12 years of the best game in history!
A huge thanks to everyone on that list for being such a major part of my life for the past 5+ years. Shout outs to the old jon747 account, and the english casters I watched from time to time as well. + Show Spoiler +
Moletrap, Diggity, Klazart. <3
Hell while I'm at it, thanks to all the guys that stream starcraft at redicuous hours for everyone else. + Show Spoiler +
Kiante, GTR, Craton, Nanashin and plenty of others it would take hours to type out.
Thank you to all the uploaders, you are the most beautiful people on this planet :D love you guys! Here's to another 10,000 more awesome vods Long live Nevake! Long live BROOD WAR!
Pretty awesome that is a ton of freaking videos, I watch some sometimes and I never had any idea there was that many on the channel. Well done guys, cheers! :D
Nevake, you were the guy who got me into watching professional BW as well as playing it. Grats to you and hope that you add another 10,000 videos to it as well!
:D Awesome job guys! Although I never knew of TL or anything like that when watching BW VODs, the small amount I watched was probably from nevake! So thank you to all the uploaders for all your hard work :3
Thaaaaaank you. This channel is like the most impressive and amazing thing ever. I was never a huge BW guy but thanks to the combined efforts of you heroes and bosses of men I can watch bisu and jaedong play all the time. Big hearts to all who contribute!
You are all legends in my book. You have no idea how much you guys have meant to me. Watching BW was my passion and we could only experience such amazing moments thanks to uploaders like you all. No joke, you guys deserve so much, you are the backbone upon which the entire foreign BW scene was established. And though not as important, you are the ones who have helped people like myself fall in love with the greatest game ever that is Brood War. Been following the scene since '08... thank you for three years of pure magic, and here's to hopefully many more to come.

I love this. That game was hilarious and epic in its own way.
Huge grats TL, let's hope for many more years to come.
Incredible amount of work, I've only known VioleTAK, Jon747 and moktira, and I usually try to say thanks on its channel. Once again, huge thanks to the community for its passion, I love you people.
So amazing. Nevake was the first way I got into BW and how I kept up with all the SPL matches before I decided to forego sleep and watch them live, haha. Thank you so much for the tireless effort of the uploaders!!!
That first ever broadcasted SC game is just incredible. Looking back on it and how significant it was to so much we value today, it's like a historical monument or famous art piece.
What an accomplishment indeed, Gratz Nevake thank u and thank all of those who have helped ya, yall have brought great broodwar moments to my eyes, GREAT MEMORIES so far ^^
Wow, what an amazing accomplishment. Thanks to the uploaders for their tireless efforts and to nevake for the generosity. The community would simply not be as it is now if it weren't possible to have such easy access to Korean VODs.
To clarify: BaeZZi = Jon747. We would not forget one of the most hard working uploaders of all time.
Mentioned are uploaders to Youtube and the TL VOD tracker. If we have forgot someone I am sorry - it's certainly not intentional, things just get lost in history.
The original owner of the account, nevake, goes by the name of ketomai these days. Huge thanks again for making today's upload number possible in the first place by donating the account!
You're the reason I even know this site. Let me explain my little TL discovery story (I already posted it somewhere)
Several years ago, I was an avid broodwar player, we had lans at a friend apartment every weekend. Anyway, I remember googling "broodwar videos", and after some research finding this : http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/korean/individual-leagues At the time, and for at least 4 or 5 years, I thought teamliquid was a vod site. I think I clicked every single one of the TLPD bw vods during this period :D I never went to the forum, or even tl.com until last year. Well that's not entirely true, I read the final edits. Anyway, it's not more than 5 years later that I discovered that all this was the work of some community members who have changed my life and provided me with hours and hours of entertainment.
Ah ... I think I've watched a good 50% of these VODs (the other 50% of the matches I watched live kekeke) ... so much amazing time spent watching BW ^^
Man, this made me miss Jon747 more. Somehow, the BW Gods sent someone when no one was uploading the vods anymore. Thanks to Moktira and other uploaders for working hard in keeping the international BW fans alive!!!
All I can say is <3! Without all the VOD uploaders things could've been very different, and maybe I wouldnt even been following BW the way I've been doing for the last 5 years.

Thanks a ton.
Haha, yeah. I remember surfing those korean sites like ogame and what not, hovering the curser over links to get a (for me) readable name in the satus bar of the browser. When i found the small vod thread i was like: OH. MY. GOD! Repeat this for 3 days and youre not even close..
So yeah, big big thanks to all those people who made this possible. Thanks for all your hard work and dedication. Youre awesome.
We are all addicted to the BroodWar drug. And you guys are like the best dealers in the neighbourhood fuelling the addiction with a constantly supply of BW Vods.
Thank you so much nevake channel and all the uploaders who made it possible to watch BW at any time. I got into BW through watching these Vods, thank you so much for all the time and dedication.
haha this is awesome! Nevake has been around since i first watched sc, through the tough times when all the english commentators left, and still today when nuke and deducter are casting.
I rarely post, but this is one of the times where I simply cannot not congratulate all of the hard work that went into this channel. Nevake and moktira are truly awesome people!
I'm an SC2'er but I have an interest in pro BW as well, and so as sad as I am that BW is slowly dying away, I'm glad that we can rejoice in something this amazing. TL (Especially the BW community, wow what a tight-knit community, I wish I had been around) is the best community on the internet bar none. ESPORTS4LYFE!
Since then thousands of Proleague, MSL, OSL and other tournament VODs have been uploaded. Thanks to everyone for watching and subscribing. Here's to another 10k!
that might be uploaded by me lol...
too sad just almost 2TB of BW vods... damn broken harddrive lol

Grats Nevake and big thanks to OP
Wow almost forgot to add you to the list! Yeah, that was uploaded by you!
I guess I sort of took it for granted for a while, the small VOD thread that is.. although I did say thanks a lot.. but thanks again to everyone involved, it really is great to have such dedication to the community and BW.
One thing specifically with the VODs, the work on bringing them spoiler-free.. I don't think I've ever been spoiled, unless I checked the results myself.. so, great job on everything!
Big thank you to everyone involved throught the years in this big project, i don't know where we would be without you guys by now. Once again, thanks for amazing work and keep it up ^_^

Tried having a professional recovery person do it for you? As long as it's not physically scratched I think it ought to be recoverable.
Whatever happened to that one guy who ran a site with BW VODs WAAAAY back in the day? I remember some foreigner Legionairre beat some Korean (maybe Boxer?) Xellos on uh... that semi-island map that Testie had a 100 game PvT win streak Neo Forbidden Zone on was uploaded to that site.
Also, the Paleman or whatever guy had uploaded VODs to his site, he was my first real interaction with them.
BTW, that VOD of the 1999 game is quite funny. Man, the level of play looked quite primitive back then. It's as though any D level noob from the modern day can be a BW gosu in 1999 if they had access to time travel, a copy of Liquidpedia, and the entire nevake archive.
Grats! The Nevake youtube account is how I got into watching professional Starcraft. Without that, I wouldn't be here today. Thank you, more than I can ever express .
amazing. i'm so proud to be part of this historic moment. thanks once again to every single one who contributed to making this possible, as well as the fans who kept the interest going :>
Wow, I just realised that the channel only has about 20k subscribers which is really nothing compared to some other SC related channels. It deserves a lot more. oO
Without the tireless work uploaders have done over the years, I likely never would've discovered the BW scene. Luckily, I never have to go back to a life devoid of any knowledge of Boxer, Jaedong, or the Mantoss.
Also, almost choked on laughter as I tabbed back in to the video around the 10:45 mark to see the two players sitting on what look like thrones out of a B-movie medieval set. I've heard of the space suits, seen the pictures.... but you really can't fully prepare yourself for seeing actual video of the epic cheesiness.

I remember you had to have 100 posts to be able to download the vods hosted on a tl.net server, i was so happy when i finally made it, being able to watch pro vods at that time wasnt easy (i think youtube didnt even exist?).
Thankyou to all who contributed! It was really sad when Jon747 account got banned, but thanks for taking the time to reupload most of the past games as well.
