And yeah Xellos won WCG, but even outside of that his lead over the rest of the field is huge, still a top 5. I still don't get the formual they use and why some of the ranks are so nonsense and everyone knows it too.
this is the rank of March, "officially". let's look back the statistics of Feb
GoRush, 605.0 now, (436.0 in Feb) won MSL in Feb so he gained 160points around NaDa, 622.0 now, (560.0 in Feb) won the second place in MSL, so he got like 60points(maybe some points from his victory in the semifinal of IOPS osl) July, 892.0 now, (861.0 in Feb) knocked into the final of IOPS osl, earned 30points XellOs, 705.0 now, (685.0 in Feb) made through the dual league, got 20points
as for oov, he loses some points while i guess that's due to the rule of the rank(counted upon the performance of a player in the latest 12months).
if july won this osl, he could be the 1st TOP1 ZERG of the league next month.
If July wins the next OSL he will probably not only be #1 but also be the first player with over 1000 points in a long time (the last being Nada sometime. Boxer having 2500 once doesn't count since the points were rescaled at one point, being reduced accross the board by about 60% for some reason.)
lol, i think yellow, and boxer, may get to the first places if they want... but many players are now thinking about quitting, like ZeuS so... i don't think that's too important for him, does anyone have to other top 40 list?
considering 4 different maps that arent used for anything else but WCG, which is only once a year, and a prelim that is ruled by those who can abuse the best, how many of the top tier koreans even made a real effort to win WCG korea?
when WCG is the upcoming tournament then that's what they practice, why wouldn't they? It's their job. If someone has to choose between practicing for an OGN semi-final or the Korean WCG preliminaries it's an easy choice obviously but that's usually not the case.
I'm not saying they practice as hard as for an OGN preliminary or anything, not at all. But they do practice, plenty. The fact that 4 different maps are used for WCG has got nothing to do with that though. Nor does the fact that it's only once a year (if anything this would stimulate as it'll be a while till the next one is). The reason why they spend less time practicing for Korean WCG is because it's TOO HARD. It is unfair that they have to go through like 7 rounds of progamers so that they have a chance of winning big money at the WCG finals. Odds are you won't get anywhere in WCG no matter how good of a progamer you are. If you compare this with for example OGN you need 2-3 rounds to make it to televised games (which are important since SC has evolved so much that sponsors bring in more money than prizes).
So Xellos went through all of that, all those rounds, all those progamers and winning the WCG finals as well and doesn't deserve ANY points?
Why did Kingdom move up 1 while Yellow and boxer have been constantly making star leagues and getting top4 in them while kingdom hasnt done anything at all lately.

correct me if im wrong, but in the us its state and country qualies. in korea, its prefecture and country qualies. with the final tourney, thats three 'rounds.' when you say 7 rounds, are you referring to each bracket?

I'm referring to the whole bracket they have to go through. I doubt it's exactly 7 rounds but I know it's a long way to become the winner of WCG Korea. Feel free to post about the exact information of course

maybe it would be good to post both this month and last months ranking, just to have a reference. Kingdom probably was already placed high on last month and simply didn't lose enough points to go down
Kingdom damn,Nada must win cauze I dont want to see July no1 ,sry but I dont think he deserves to be first leaving legends like Boxer,nada,yellow,ra,reach even oov in the other places T_T so gogo Nada T_T
