Iccup issues

I just formatted my hd, and I realized that I don't know where my original SC cd and key are.

I downloaded the client off the iccup website, and it runs the game alright...but I have a couple problems.

First of all, there is no music! Is there anyplace I can download the music files so I can have in game music?

and second, I open and run the game w/ the antihack launcher...but when I play it doesnt recognize it for some reason?

I didn't have either problem when I used my original cd...am I just going to have to pony up the 15 bucks for a new copy?

I know with that free download your not going to get the music so that's no error but I'm not sure about the anti hack issue your having as I always thought it worked with both versions but maybe that's one of the things they didn't allow people who didn't have a cd key. If you had your BW account registered you might look into if you can download it from there, I had a digital download one bought so I'm not positive if you can still download the client. Worst case you might be able to get it on ebay for really cheap or on Amazon since I've seen it on there for 10 dollars before.

About the launcher issue, it's probably outdated. Go to the options and activate automatic updates and restart it.

You could download any non-iccup BW version and copy paste the sounds from there, no?

As for the launcher, 90% of the time there is an update I have to reinstall the AH launcher because I get errors when it tries to auto-update.

I fixed the launcher...piece of shit wouldn't update

As for the music, I can't download torrents here so for now ima just play the music off youtube while i play

There's a better solution use your original cd and get some voided SC cd key(3609050017453) off the net. [Note: This is my old Voided cd key I got banned for using Chaos Launcher a long time ago so you won't be able to play on Bnet using this] Then Patch the game using the latest patch read the patch note there is an instruction there so that you will not need to put your SC CD before starting the game After that you should have no problem at all.

If your too lazy to go to the patch note here is the instruction from the patch note how to do it.

Feature Changes

- StarCraft and StarCraft: BroodWar no longer require the CD while playing the game. To play without the CD, please follow the following instructions:

Windows Users:
- Make sure you have "Hide extensions for known types" unchecked. To do this please use the following steps:
- Click Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Windows Explorer
- Click on Tools -> Folder options (Windows Vista users may have to press the Alt key to see the tools option at the top of the window)
- Click on the View Tab In the list, look for the "Hide extensions for known file types" option, and make sure that it is unchecked.
- Click OK to save the changes.
- Now you will need to copy some files from the Game CDs

- If you own only StarCraft, copy "INSTALL.EXE" from the StarCraft CD to your StarCraft folder and rename it to "StarCraft.mpq".

- If you own StarCraft: Brood War, copy "INSTALL.EXE" from the StarCraft: Brood War CD to your StarCraft folder and rename it to "BroodWar.mpq". If you wish to play the StarCraft original missions then please copy and rename the install file from the original StarCraft CD as well, as listed directly above.

Download and Install AH launcher from ICCUP then there your done.

And don't call the AH launcher Piece of shit. It never did anything wrong for me and I never had problems using it.

Ya I was actually quite disappointed when I downloaded the Iccup version and there was no music but oh well, got used to it. Actually helped me to focus a lot more.
