So if translators stop translating (or move to DES sources instead), Daniel loses out on translations. This means either doing all the translations himself, finding his own staff of volunteers or not have english translations on fomos. And for what? ego? I don't see the logic. i just saw it on his twitter and that pisses me off to.....mb the translator should just stop translating fomos.btw its not like tl is getting profit from it i think. | ||

Doing a translation, the process itself, is a re-creation of the original content: the translator essentially re-writes the entire article in his own words based on his interpretations. This is besides the point because translating something without authorization is copyright infringement. Two wrongs do not make a right. Fomos implies they're gonna put work and effort into setting up an English site, which would be awesome...then it turns out they're just copy pasting our work and trying to profit off it, and then they get aggressive and threaten "action" against the translators that they're taking content from lol... | ||
