2 minutes and 57 seconds, niza beat yooi with a 4 pool, eclipsing the previous record of 3 minutes 13 seconds (or so). afterwards, niza said something like, "i didn't use 4 pool to try to beat the record," and "i'm so sorry to yooi." to which i say:

* why did you 4 pool if you were going to be sorry about it? i suppose even among pros there's some sensitivity to cheese~

* also, does anyone else notice that z's seem to be 4/5/6 pooling alot more recently?
i want bubbles the warrior monkey back

awesome, go 4 poolers...

Its only fair. -_-

To anyone who says 4 pool is cheesier than early rax, just remember that early rax is nearly as dangerous, but its actually a safe strat. Which is kind of lame.

maybe the face of pro-gaming strategy is changing, and all progamers will start cheesing, and they will start developing anti-cheese strats that are cheeses in itself!!

omg its a half-assed paradox!

id be so fucking pissed to lose to that shit. Its the epitome of "win or die" strats that koreans boost foreigners use and koreans dont.

you mean boast?

I always have thought that koreans are the ultimate gay at BW. They are so extremely willing to go do or die on an opponent. ON gamei, when I played, it seemed like simple survival was enough to win vs all the cheesy terrans and zergs I played. ( im toss)

It seems Koreans are willing to accept cheese as a form of a whole new level of starcraft gaming.

Disrespecting your opponent and winning at the same time!
If you lose while cheesing, it was a cheese anyways!
No big deal, 'cause it had a high rate of failure anyways!

Absolutely genius.
I was thinking about joining a debate club, but I was talked out of it.

Wow, it IS genius..!! I wish I could see it like that.

Soon, you will be laughed at if you play depot before rax, overlord before pool, or anything later than a 6 pylon.

hmm the 2min57sec record is kinda pointless because it all depends on when the terran says gg and leaves. yooi could have floated his cc and waited like 20 seconds

That's why he didn't use it just to beat the record.

Cheesing is good, the game will develop to next level, maybe pro will start sooner scouting. With 5th worker.
The real fight will begin in 2nd minute.
this is possibility to show what is perfection

Gosh, imagine 4 pool 8 rax 6/7 pylon becoming a standard buildup, haha. How noobie would that be!

A guy who plays the 1st time in his life with zerg, mostly goes 4pool.. how noobie would we look

starcraft has always been an evolving mass of strategies. perhaps zerg needs good rushing again to bring terran back down to managable starts instead of ultra greedy ultra teched.

If yooi started his rack at 8, then 6 SCVs at the ramp, he could have fended it off.

Like in So many sports it stops being about the game and becomes about winning. Really About the Money. Theres nothing to say except that its sad. It will slowly continue tu degenerate.

i higlhy doubt into/ountro's are ever 5 mins long.

though the commercials are good when you see hot kor chicks =]

haha could you imagine, cheese would make wcg over in like an hour

though i highly doubt it will go into efect that cheese=mandatory.

thats a pretty stupid idea actually =/

My shortest TMA beat down time was in 5:16, we all got 5000pts and we all bombed...Good Times. :D

Cheese is an art, I seriously don't know why people hate, it. If it happens to you deal with it and learn from it to get better....And next time, don't be so stupid as to let yourself open for such a move.

I have my doubts about cheese becoming so standard. Maybe I'm just hoping there are more people like me, who are too ignorant to change their ways. I'll lose 100 games straight before I start building my pylon at six and holding probes so I can have a gate at seven.

Sucks to be 4 pooled.

Even i used to play Zerg, there was no point in doing it.

it means you didnt scout at 5 because there is a standard and i have enought apms to make a early and rally point.

It takes the fun out. I know they are playing to win. but damn, whats the point. its also an entretainment for spectators.

haha i doubt starcraft games have perfect plays from the beginning of the game. perfect plays are hard to prove anyway. besides, if you watch the vod, terran mismicros his one marine - an scv gets in the way right before the marine dies. it probably could have reached the bunker without the scv there, hence it was a lucky win.

he was really close to blocking it.
if he kept his building scv alive on his bunker and it was created a bit faster and the marine got inside. the zerg would have been screwed seeing as how he only had 3 or so drones left.

imbalance zerglings have too much hp and hatch too quickly, spawning pool is too expensive, should be moved to 500 so that they cannot rush, terran has barracks build so slowly and is bs zergling can get so many units so fast

It's not that big of a deal guys
Both Yooi and Niza failed to get in the Challenge League finals regardless of their match so it really didn't matter who won. If it was an important game I think Niza would'nt have 4 pooled.
If it was an important game Yooi would have tried harder to block
