- Comments on your season's first and Protoss' first reverse all-kill? ▲ I played this match with the mindset of "Let's do my best", because I didn't think I would manage an all-kill when team is behind 0-3. But when I managed 2 kills, it looked like I might just be able to pull off an all-kill. I am so happy to achieve an all-kill in all my life.
- This is your first all-kill officially. ▲ I did manage an all-kill in a previous STX cup. So, I had some pride as a player who did an all-kill, but it being not an official game, it wasn't fully satisfying. But it made me feel proud for being able to achieve an all-kill in Proleague, where other players do a ton of practice.
- Which match was your most difficult match? ▲ The match vs. Sea was the most difficult. I should have brought High Templars during my first battle. I was overconfident and didn't do my best, so I had a huge loss there. That gave Sea a chance. Worse, my expansion was destroyed too, I thought I was done for.
- Your usage of High Templars were excellent. ▲ Mixing them certainly is good in your army composition, but if you don't use them correctly, they will hurt you more than the opponent. Thankfully, I feel that I've made a good use of them today.
- All players who managed an all-kill so far this season, are Protoss. ▲ There are maps where it is very tough for a Protoss, but there's no such map like Mercury where it is literally impossible for a Protoss. One can certainly win as long as they weather the difficult situations, and that seemed to have resulted a lot of all-kills happening. In the past, it was hard to get an all-kill due to maps where it is impossible to win, but that is not so this season. In addition, recently, Protoss have become lot stronger. I think that is one of the strength behind Protoss managing a lot of all-kill.
- You showed an strategic do-or-die last match. ▲ I originally planned to take it to a macro game, but with opponent recently having the things go way he wanted, I felt that he would also go for an macro game... and thus, I did an all-in rush. I worried for a second with our positions being diagonally across, but I did it like a man. It was a proud moment for me to be able to make such a bold decision at the crossroad of win or lose for the team.
- Your plays seem to be the best out of recent TaekBangLeeSsang matches. ▲ It's a little burdening on me to be compared to the "TaekLeeSsang" considering they too, are doing well, but it's also a pressure on me with me playing well in the Starleague out of the TaekBangLeeSsang. I am worried that if I even lose a one match, my fans might criticize me and I might lose my momentum.
- What are you determined to do for the upcoming matches? ▲ A man who's always a 2nd place often end up being overshadowed by others, but I like that. A 2nd place player can always aim higher in the next season, therefore, always aim to do one's best. 31 wins in Proleague is the best record for me so far, and I feel like I can finally achieve a new record this time.
- Are you a little jealous of Bisu doing 2 all-kills back to back? ▲ I think it is the downside of the Winner's League in that only one guy gets all the spotlight. In case of our team, there are a lot of players ready to play, but with reduced chance to actually play, they are finding it hard on them in the Winner's League. Therefore, when we take on Ace, it'll be good to have my teammates show what they can do. Recently, firebathero has been doing great in Ace, but he often loses when facing our team. I look forward to that again, as usual. I wish to be able to focus more on the Starleague. (laugh)
- Any last comments? ▲ I feel like playing nowadays. With good records and great support from the fans, I am really satisfied all around. Now, I think all that remains is to finish up with a good overall record. With recent schedules for both Proleague and Starleague, I am unable to take a break, but I will simply think to rest after winning, and will put in my best efforts to win in the Starleague. Finally, I want to say thanks to the teammates with helping me practice together.

I worried for a second with our positions being diagonally across, but I did it like a man.
My mancrush for Stork grows with each passing interview.

Hope he tears it up even more in PL!

Commander Stork 4 gates like a real man Bisu, not any of your 3 gate sissy rushes. Lead Aiur to victory!

Song Byung Goo all ins like a man. I think he should now be referred to as Mantoss2.0

great interview as usual from stork, thanks for translating
|
Yes!
I love how 4 gate is such a heroic thing in BW whereas in SC2 it's just a facepalm.

Flash went through it three times. I wonder if Stork can repeat this feat.

Unless the title is just changed then I don't see how that's a spoiler. Would you rather him changing the order of the team name?

I'm guessing the nuance of "Winner" and "Winners"

You heard the guy, all-in = manly ...
|
Thanks for the traslation! More protoss allkills=happy me. Suprised that it's been protoss and not Jaedong or Flash. And ahaha "like a man"...the next mantoss?

Flash would/could have but Stats always take 1 game from him(which is a good thing)

tbh the fact this is translated so early means stork won

indeed! i missed the whole thing but when i saw that the interview was up very early, it had to be a Samsung win in which Stork played a big part ( no offence to MBC fans btw )
|
thanks for the interview! Stork rules!

good thing I checked mid-way through translating. ... but... but... I called it in the translators thread!! x_x;; AHHHH but it's ok~ I'm just happy that my man Stork got a reverse AK.
I was working on the DES interview, so if I find anything significant (that Fomos omitted) then I'll post it here.

I didn't see it at the time when I completed it. Sorry D:!

... and yeah, there isn't much difference between Fomos and DES. Love the "proud because of bold decision" part, TOTALLY STORK!!! <3

go Stork!, KHAN!
thanks for the translation~

Let's all do it like men from here on out. Let Stork be our shining example leading us onward into infinite glory.
|
poor jaehoon...but yay song-byung-goo!!
|
I've felt for a while now that Stork is perhaps the most talented player to ever play the game. Nice to see him actually trying hard and showing great results.
|
can we just dub him neo man toss please

Every time Stork peaks, this is basically the reason. And when he sucks, it's because of the opposite. I guess when you're the oldest guy around, it's just not as fun as it used to be.

I don't know what to think, Bisu and Stork all-kills and +2300 ELOs, I've been waiting for this since I followed TL and the Korean Pro scene.

fixed.
thanks for the translation!

Since Stork has two starleagues to worry about AND still manages to get an all-kill, doesn't that make him the toughest and most badass of the four (Flash, Jaedong, Bisu)?
|
Only full grown men will support SBG because they are true starcraft fans who like strategic play. First 3 games macro and last game all in to surprise everyone. MBC bench must have told tyson how stork will play.

STORK!!!!! Goddamn I missed his play because of my cousin's wedding T_T

I haven't been this enthusiastic about BW in years. Finally the boring yoke of F&J is broken and Protoss can shine again. No more Terran vs Zerg finals ever again please, and I'll be a happy camper.
Stork is one of my favorite players of all time. Him and Savior and Boxer and a few others.
HE DID IT LIKE A MAN.

Good to see him actually wanting to play the game. Because he was already pretty damn good even when he was off screwing around and not practicing. Scary guy to face when he actually feels like practicing.
|
LIKE A BOSS!!
STORK HWAITING!
|
I don't know why people keep saying poor Jaehoon. He almost all-killed Khan and was only stopped by Stork himself. That is amazing and I believe he should feel proud of that. Stork is so damn good. Go for the double gold, Song Byung Goo!
|
Nuke probably came in his pans when he saw this series ^.^
|
Stork....
...is such a baller!
The reign of Mantoss 2.0 is approaching!
|
His timing and reading opponents in this game is impecceble. Too bad protoss is not cost effective to turtle in bw history, its natural disadvantage when protoss user need to outplay other races. However i saw protoss ripping zerg apart nowadays with starting zealots and storm. Wonder how the metagame in pvz changed? Simcity seems useless.
|
Thanks for the translation!
I second the motion of calling Stork Mantoss 2.0. I think Reach needs to pass the baton anyway. We haven't really seen him in a while.

I agree completely. I always felt like Stork was really strong but he just didn't try hard enough or didn't have any motivation to. Now it seems like he found his second wind and is on a rampage.
Go go Song Byung Goo!
|
Song Byung GoD!! awesome games. Though as much as I love stork no one can ever be Mantoss 2.0 or neo mantoss come on people he's the Dinotoss. Though he did play it like a man he definitely burrowed some manlots in those games!
|
Honestly my favorite part of this interview is that Stork is still bitter about Mercury. There's just something unreal about bringing that particular map up after all these years.
|
heh. Protoss era inc? i hope so stork is now in the 2300 ELO!!
|
Stork has spoken all-in is the way!
|
I did it like a man. Words to live by.
Btw, Stork just reached his highest ELO peak with these wins. 7th highest peak in SC history. Commander is not going away for a looong time

I can't believe he still says the maps are hard for Protoss. No P will ever say any map is good for them.
|
He said that certain maps are hard for P, not all maps are hard for P. Plus while people usually have pretty good ideas on what makes a map T or Z favored, it's hard to actually say what makes a map P favored -- usually it's just the lack of things that make a map too T or Z favored.
|

Stork just said that Bloody Ridge is good for P. Just the same, Empire of the Sun and Fortress good for terran, both of which Stork played. Of course, Stork is just lucky that MBC terrans are his personal bitches and even on T-favored maps, Light wouldn't dare show his face.
|
I like how Stork doesnt use carriers PvT too much nowadays. Probably saving it for when he faces Fantasy in OSL finals (provided he beats Modesty first). Stork PvT is just godly, he can use any tech he wants (Reaver, HT, Arbiter, Carrier) and just win with it.
|
lets all be honest with ourselves here jaehoon was the true winner of this match
