This is the sad part of progaming Or they'll move to SC2 (or another game), or they can go back to school. They tried something for a year or two, it didn't work, they're moving on. Life is all about taking chances, sometimes they pay off, sometimes they don't, but just because opportunities don't always work out doesn't mean you should avoid taking them. I would have to say they spent a bit more than a year or two on this. ^^ Not necessarily. Not familiar with the backstory on all these guys (and lacking the attention span to care too much), but SonGDuri for example was still an amateur last June. He was with CJ for about a year. Not sure how long he was actively trying to join a team before that, but not all of these guys have invested 4-5 years into this (and by this I mean actively pursuing the dream of professional progaming, not just playing BW in clans for fun).

I've never heard of these guys though, but I feel guilty that I don't care. At least no one major is retiring though. >.<

For every winner, there is at least one loser. These guys happen to be on the wrong end of the fork.

I wonder if 'personal reasons' stand for 'i wanna sc2 a bit' At this point most B temaers are probably starting to ask themselves if they can make it to the top of bw or not. If they cant they might as well try out sc2.

Uh should've clarified that i was talking about Guemchi and MVP.

Smile is the only one I recognize at all.
These kids put in a lot of their time and have devoted their life to this great game for essentially no success on their parts. No matter what we should respect that.
Wish them all the best.
Edit: Guemchi too?!?! What a terrible day . MVP sucks too but was never a fan of him.

This is sad. G-Chizzle was at least decent and MVP, sadly, was still Star's best Terran. Definitely big news and with Pikachu gone too, I'm weeping the Stars tag right now =(

GL mvp, I remember being impressed by him and Baby in one of the GOM classics. He actually beat Stork then. ESPORTS is a cruel mistress.
