slayer was never a progamer, but still beat them all, while getting very, very good grades in school. Thank you Good explanation (which is what I was after) ~_~

slayer was also somewhat godly at elastomania
I think he was good at fps games too, although I dunno how good.

It is easier to respect someone who did not practice 16 hrs a day, 7 days a week for a year to get good.

so, what is Slayer doing nowadays? And when did he quit?

Actually I kind of have more respect for someone who dedicate that kind of time to something.. Amazing work ethic (and really, we don't know how good he would have gotten had he practiced the korean way).
I have a different kind of respect for slayer I guess (I mean, I might have thought different if, as drone said, I was there and saw him play)

Elastomania is a kind of motorbike simulation you need to control that guy with his bike trough crazy stages here is a screenshot
looks crappy but its so addictive ... I got trough all 48 lvls or so.

Yes if it is focused at something other than brood war. It doesnt exactly take a "hard worker" to play 16 hours a day.

It requires an enormous dedication to do it for so long O_O Garimto said that pros play 400 games a week when preparing for a tournament..That is something I'd be very hard pressed to do O_O I have played 14 hours a day for 3 days in a row during tltour. I was completely worn out and played like shit after a while O_O I managed like.. hm 60 games in 3 days.
It's complete and utter dedication to the game, quite amazing o_o

It is not really constructive. It is like practicing nonstop to be the best at a video game.

IMO playing 400games a week looks more exhausting than anything else.... It's a little too much to prepare for a tourney
|
That's like 60 games a day.. no one plays that much 200 games a week sounds more realistic, but even that is pushing it, and playing on weekends
