Even though making 2 million dollars seems alluring, what do you really get from it if you already make 100k a year(which is already quite a bit of money, especially in korea if i understand it correctly). 2 million = 20 years at 100k/year you know. This is a pretty bad reasoning. I guess some people are materialistic enough though to want more than 1 house and expensive cars which don't add anything. And selling out for the sake of being a millionaire will probably end up being a bad decision if you have any sort of decency and respect for yourself and the game you play. Think about it, man. 2 Million is enough to live on for the rest of your life, easily. Without touching the principal. Who says he couldn't play Starcraft? He wouldn't need a job he could do whatever the hell he wanted. I would take 2mil ez. Life is solved with 2 million if you don't fail with investing.
The issue isn't the money since everyone would take the cash but the issue is being so short sighted that you think you'll get away with it. Life isn't solved if you get busted, get thrown in jail, lose access to that cash anyway, and have a permanent scar on your record.
When you're doing 2 million USD worth of shady deals, you're definitely going to get busted. The question is when.

[Jaedong, Stork, Bisu, (the Dons)] and [Leta, Fantasy, Savior, Effort, Movie (the Hitmen)] wtf.
Bigtime police crackdown busts everyone.
Is Flash the secret undercover agent or is he really Kira? Did he find the Bonjwa note (or robbed Type-B of it?) or is he the hero of the whole town?
Tune in to find out.
Funnily enough, I think Flash would literally be too immature, innocent, and honest to purposely throw games. Reading his GOM interviews, the guy is the biggest mumma's boy.

Well, i am assuming he was smart enough to hide the extra money from their tax system etc. I am mainly saying that to counter the morality argument of taking the mils

you know, i've thought about this a bit, and i think throwing games is what happens when you don't pay your gamers enough compared to how much money the corporations are making, and treat them like shit.

Wow this is just crazy. Would make perfect sense though considering all the upsets and slumping lately

If it's true it's pretty much the end for SC1 progaming, given the extensive list of names. And even cutting out all those players would never remove the stench and people would cry wolf every time they see a bad match.

The thing is these corporations still fucking look down on their players. It doesn't matter that it's Korea, every fucking place on earth looks down on gamers if they themselves aren't one.
Gaming itself is unproductive and does not produce anything of value, to these people. The culture in Korea is an anomaly which allowed Esports to grow.
It's just unfair that youths are being exploited for their love of the game. The corporations are certainly getting their big bucks off the advertising the players give them.
Still, it's a better deal than anything you and me can hope for. I'm pretty sure we see things from a different perspective as compared to a pro-gamer. Even NoNy plays for the fun of it, and wins USD10k for the fun of it (not literally, but you get the point; he still had to practice hard for it, but it's not his main field of work).
If anyone really wanted them to pay gamers more, what points can be brought up? They'll just shove it back in the proposer's face. The corporations provide food, lodging, an environment to people who practically bring in nothing besides advertisement value, and only to a niche market.
I think even if they gave a hefty budget to the teams, the advertisement value would only increase marginally.
Which brings me back to this incident. I just, really, really want a good outcome to come of it. Like players getting a fine, but their living and working conditions/pay/etc get raised.
I mean, come to think of it, no wonder Fantasy keeps going for his fantasy build T_T

I've just been lurking through rekrul's various threads and now this one, but this is the first comment that prompted me to reply. I wholeheartedly agree!
