You can try tank/turret rush, but then again it's not effective

Sometimes I try wraith/tank push as well, and it's a little more effective.

in general though, there isn't much you can do

well for starters,play more maps then only LT and you will be able to succeed in other strategies besides mass droping...3 fact vults is a good strategy on ramp-less maps such as bifrost,guillotine. 2 port wraiths can help you on island maps to kill the initial dropship etc..

you can 1 fact tank exp, you can 2 fact tank exp (vs obvious gols), you can 2 fact tank/gol ground, all sorts of good stuff! Watch reps of ArtOfHan/[kor]-Oddysay/EsSay_kr (all the same guy)

so do something else.

just do the classic 2 fac tank, defend his silly drop, float your rax to spot the cliff and have the exp for free ..

..go gollies yourself with later port, kill his drop with no loss to yourself and be ahead.

seems pretty easy.

yea, 1 fac expo, variations of 2 fac gol -> expo or -> drop/expo, 2 fac vult => expo or 2 fac vult => 2 port wraith

TvT is by far the best same race by same race match-up. Obviously you haven't done much ZvZ have you? ZvZ is far more repetitive but requires so much skill to win.

I usually try something fun like vulture rushing, sometimes with a hidden starport so I can vulture drop them and shit. seems like the only way to end the matchup fast. tvt IS boring, and there's really nothing you can do about it.

and it's possible to make zvz different and fun. hydra queen really isn't bad when you have the timing down.

ZvZ is pretty cool because usually it's a lot more fast paced.

TvT is cool if both players are good at it, but I suck so when my opponent choses Terran I dread the ensuing game.

You can go 2 fact vult rush with mines and then speed upgrades (1 or two addons). Don't tech for a while, mine the shit out of his choke and expo... if you make many vultueres, he won't be able to drop soon cause he'll need choke protection. Then bring tanks to contain/try to deny expo.

Tank opening works really well against 2 fact golies. Research siege, leave like 1 tank at home, with good micro its possible to defend 4 goli drop with like 1-2 tanks. His siege will be late, you'll be able to do some damage with turret/tank.

Also try going goli without dropship. The money saved by foregoing the dropship tech will buy you faster siege tanks and a faster expo.

There is enough variation imo.

PvP is so fucking boring on Lotem. I'd much rather play TvT - the play seems much faster and more dynamic, as opposed to sitting in your base for twenty minutes making dragoons. It seems offensive action is too easily punished in Lotem PvPs, which is a reason that I have been experimenting with alternative strategies to the regular zealot/goon/temp/reaver medley.
