Do you remember ELO ranking Game-i server? Was awesome, wasn't it?
But if we made a game-i clone it won't be popular. Why? iCCup offers LAN.
But let me tell something:
* Sc2tv server is the first Starcraft server with opponent autosearch feature.
No need to sit and spam "C'MON! 1x1 LT ANYONE!!1111". The launcher works for you. You just play improving your skill (private games are still possible).
* custom ladder
* antihack
* lan-latency (like iccup's. Thanks to MasterOfChaos)
* plugin for auto downloading and watching recent replays (Replay TV)!
Now only working with reps.ru's replay database, however that's huge enough. Wanna check up new strategy? Learn strategies, BOs timings etc. etc. You don't need to alt-tab, search for a replay, download, then move the file to SC folder. You simply click Replay TV, choose a rep and watch it! That's very simple.
In addition it has all of ADVLoader plugins. In order to begin playing on our server, you need to download and install sc2tv launcher.
It’s recommended to turn your antivirus software off while installing, otherwise the launcher may not function properly especially windowed mode.
The launcher adds sc2tv server to Windows registry and adds a map-pack which contains popular maps, including maps for ladder (quite few now).
If you are connected with the server by the launcher, an icon appears near your ID. Having launcher switched off or disconnected you are with icon and youare unable to play ladder games or use autosearch and Replay TV.
Please do not try to hack. You will be baned for ever.
Ladder system:
The ELO system running on the server.
Players are graduated with:
• 1000-1199 - white belt
• 1200-1399 - yellow belt
• 1400-1599 - orange belt
• 1600-1799 - green belt
• 1800-1999 - blue belt
• 2000-2199 - red belt
• 2200-2399 - brown belt
• 2400-2499 - black belt
• 2500++ - something special. We won't tell you. Check up your own 
Autosearch:
Launcher make a new button:
Press find to find an opponent
Here's what u have to do to find Zerg or Terran opponent @Desti
Image you don't care whom and where to play, but you can't create games (due to Router, NAT, firewall or other problems) you chose "Proxy. Can't cr8"
Imagine you don't want to join the same opponent's game. Simply click "find next"
* note that autoserach find opponents not more and not less than 200 pts of your own

Replay TV
First you have a Replay TV active in plugin
Next you click Replay TV button in active StarCraft window
Find a gem you want and click watch
Please kindly note SC2TV.ru is now testing the entire system. Bugs are unwanted and being fighted with, but however they can exist.

the month sc2 beta is coming out... i can't help but wonder if the work couldn't have gone into making iccup that much better for the last few months of brood war.

Uh.... I installed the launcher and everything, but with SC2TV Replay thingy checked, my BW just instant crashes. And for some reason it won't let me play any games, I get that Red X. -_-. What do I do?

Great effort, although i feel like this will make some division in the community between who plays on this and who plays on iccup.

What makes you think Idra would play on his own nickname? That could just as well be someone else.
And damn I have to agree with "bad timing" here, had this happened a few months ago I would've gone back to my 15 games a day habits but now that SC2 is just around the corner I don't feel very motivated.

This looks really nice. It can be hard finding games on ICCUP especially when I can't host while I'm at uni.
I want to try it out soon! I hope a decent amount of people use it so it gets enough traffic. Honestly though I think it might be cool to just integrate the stuff from this into ICCUP since everyone plays ICCUP already. Like a collaborative effort.

Even though this looks sick, I'm a bit disappointed because it takes a long while spamming the Find function until I actually found games.. I guess it's because of the low number of people online atm.

Is there any way to keep it searching until a game appears? It's frustrating to keep having to spam find next and continually changing maps. Can I give it a range of maps I'll play (all but python) and tell it to search for those?
Other than those interface complaints, very nice. Great work.

In addition to this, even if you are say searching for a protoss and want to practice zvp, someone can still join in and pick T in lobby even though you are only looking for Protoss only.

Uhh... There a huge list of servers and it's not obvious which to choose :X that should be included in the guide I think.

Yeah okay, it didn't for me (I assume because I've used the same computer for like 8 years so it's been thru a lot of servers). I just need to know the server's IP address and I can add it myself with gateway editor. Can someone please tell me?

I'm on, but I'm a big red X... even though I'm signing in with the launcher... The mystery grows deeper... I guess I'll try reinstalling SC. Maybe the launcher thinks just having resolution hack in my directory is evil.

Reinstalling worked. Put it in C instead of C/program files this time. I dunno if that would change anything.

One issue is that with /stats during a game only shows your stats. If you can't see the elo score of someone in a game you just joined off the join screen then it could be like a A playing a D and not knowing. It should show their elo too.

if you have downloaded this previously when it 1st came out and dl the updates will it run fine with the new additions or do i need to use the gateway editor like mentioned above and reinstall the program again?

The find game thing is awesome, I just tried it out. First guy I couldn't connect to then the next one it made me host and it worked fine and someone joined.
Really slick, kind of wish it came out earlier. I can't really play bw on win7 sadly

This is a much better ladder system than ICC. All it needs is more players, so I'm joining and trying to get others to join too!

Never heard about this problem... I think in that case you can install bnet gateway editor and manually add the server in a list. ip is 208.86.227.173

what has it said while crashing? try to update launcher, may be that will help. red x means that starcraft server does not have a connection with a launcher. it might be your firewall, anti-virus. sometimes you have to wait for a few seconds before they recognize each other. however you should have an opportunity to play games via create/join. Try to reinstall launcher with 3-party programs switched off

Thank you) About the maps. Ladder maps are in the Sc2tv map pack, which is installed with launcher directly to your map folder. also it has a number of non ladder maps included maps with obs. all the maps are half sized than the iccup's ones. it means smaller wight of replays and quicker downloading, if your opponent doesn't have a map.

Thanks for telling, we'll try to find a way to fix this. It would be appreciated, if you post this on the bug tracker. It will help us to collect more information about this bug. However bnet gateway editor helps (ip is 208.86.227.173)

No one from the lobby can join games created via find (they are password protected), but the opponent race is defined as a race, witch a person play the most. So there is no forbid for an opponent to change race in the created game menu.

Yeah I use window mode in win7 but it runs really sluggish, nothing responds right, attack moves are ignored etc unless I play really really slowly

Strange... We most of our fp-streamers use windowed mode without any problems

I managed to solve my problem with a gateway editor, for some reason when it installed it put the ip under Timezone and timezone under IP, but its working now and im owning it up
Also a small suggestion if it hasn't been suggested yet or i just dont know how to do it, would it be possible to make a list of maps that you want to play, like for instance if you wanna practice on 3 maps, so the auto match just sends you to games with those 3 maps.
Edit: oh i see thats been covered above, never mind then, but if you managed to make it happen it would be awesome <3

I got a decent elo within a few hours and ended up playing some games with a B rank (apparently) zerg. So the ranks divide pretty fast.

It didn't detect my first win but after that it's been okay. Should search for opponents with similar locations though, since sometimes you get connected to someone with really bad lag.
Garnet, after a few games it will autodetect.. with some problems.. If you lose games to a race without having games you've won, it will think you were your opponents race for some reason.

i just played my first game and i have to say this auto matching thing is pretty fucking cool. I hit find and i was in a game in like 2 seconds. It lagged a bit but im sure that was just me or my opponents fault.
edit: k just tried another game and for some reason it's very laggy even though me and my opponent had very low ping.

There are definitely some solid players already on the ladder. I gave sr.control, the ladder leader, his only TvZ loss 16-1 but he is B rank on icc.

After playing some games, i can say this is an excellent ladder. Yes, it has quite a few bugs. But those will be fixed in time, and the ability to not have to sort through lists of "D/D+ 1:1 Python No Zerg" games makes it all worthwhile. When more people start using it, this will be an excellent alternative to iCCup.
The timing however, could not have been worse. It isn't sc2tv's fault, but the beta was just announced and is coming out in 2 weeks or less, completely overshadowing this. But either way, props to sc2tv, this is an excellent modification.

At 1200 the difficulty curve turns into a brick wall. The last 12 games I played were all vs B rank zergs (probably because I kept regaming the game 2 guys). Funtimes.

Great server, I've been waiting for an automatic matchmaking server forever. Only played 1 game so far but its worked well.

At first, what OS you are using?
Are you proxy?
If not than you must chose in the window "Find"
If you are not proxy, describe your steps of using button "Find".

This is pretty amazing. Wish it had more maps in the map pool. Specifically, the courage maps, which are the way to get all the koreans to play. Right now the only one in there is fighting spirit, I believe. I played 2 games last night on my little netbook and got owned by a probably C level terran at 1000 points, hopefully the ranks clear up soon.

Wow! This server is awesome, thanks sc2tv.ru guys! I have a problem though. I can host/join fine, but if i alt tab for a little bit in between games, when I come back and try to host/join using the automatch, it tells me that i must be connected to the sc2tv.ru server or whatever. I end up having to just restart SC with the launcher.
Not a big problem, but a little annoying.
edit: yeah just tested it, every time i alt tab, it disconnects me from the matchmaking server.

Leaving a bit of feedback after using it for CSL and stuff due to iCCup season switchover: holy shit 8 latency wtf?? I mean I expect I will connect to whoever I am playing anyways, and not send everything through the server, but holy shit~~~!!!
Also, I dunno if you can have obs mode and all that good stuff on iCCup, but it was all in an easy Chaoslauncher interface for the sc2tv.ru launcher, so I made full use of that! Really easy to install and features are all very nice and obvious.

Would be cool if this somehow was the norm for broodwar instead of icc. Icc is cool and all but they got too many faggy admins that are just in love with their power and ban people for the stupidest things. I mean getting perma website banned and server banned for saying fuck or w/e I just think is too harsh (not I didn't do that just saw people do it with the admins responding with perma ban site and server).

apm live in ladder, great. I love to see my apm while I play. Autofind system is so cool. Also include obs mode for see rescourses and production when you are observers. Elo score is good too.
I wish people enter to this server, only 33 now

I just downloaded it. No games appeared, but when i tried to find an opponent, it always matched me up with the same sob that cant make and didnt mark the "i cant make" option :S
gonna try it out once more tonight. I really like the matchmaking feature.

Does anyone know what you are actually pinging when you ping the server? There is no way I can be pinging a server in Russia with 7 ms latency. Or perhaps the server isn't physically located in Russia?

All i know is there isnt enough people on it. BUT there should be. way better latency then iccup by far. The nice little match finding systems, the after game stats. its very nice and its alot better than iccup and it isnt ran by nazis like iccup

We should set a time for everyone to log-on at once to get some hype for the server. You know, have everyone on at once so they can all try this new server while there's lots of traffic. With everyone on at once, people will be more likely to keep playing during that specific time, then come back for more.

I doubt it, this server was super fucking cool but it was announced right before sc2 beta started so everyone left when it came out, I'd be surprised if it was still up.
