EMUSE is an electronic music blog. I post the best music I've found recently. Hopefully you enjoy it too.
This week has a lot more chill electro house flavour to it. Let's try to find some new music!
Ghetto Village - Overlook
A really unknown name, but the song builds up very wonderfully.
BASTILLE feat. Ella - No Angels (TLC vs The XX)
Great lyric heavy song. Some songs really get it when they match the vocals to the melody really well. Plus, they sound amazing.
Penguin Soup - Ecstasy
Happy 8-bit! How the artist is only 15 is beyond me.
SomeKindaWonderful - Police (Vanic Remix)
This is something kinda wonderfully chaotic. O:
Fryars - Cool Like Me
The video's actually really cool.
3rd Coast - Coastal Tempo
Reminds me of OutKast's The Way You Move, but this is so smooth.
Jakob Liedholm - Wishes (Audio React)
Watching the group of balls changing in size alongside good music.
SirensCeol - What I've Become
SirensCeol again! The vocals are really dreamy.. more happy music!
KRONO - Run (feat. Linying)
Her voice is even more dreamy.. then I'm woken up by the great melody.
Thomas Azier - Ghostcity (Thomas Azier Remix)
How often do you see an artist remix his or her own track, and make it better?
Tom Odell - Another Love (Zwette Edit)
On repeat for the last week... a quality that can't be described...
Spend Money on Others
http://www.spring.org.uk/2011/10/why-spending-money-on-others-promotes-your-happiness.php
I realized something the other day. I spent about $200 in gifts to my coworkers, which is basically a day of working. But with that money, I made everyone a little happier, for only a day of work. That's a really good result for such little work.
My parents have this horrible idea drilled into their head that they shouldn't spend their money to be happy. When they buy presents, they always look for a cheap way out. They limited my sister and my own consumption. They always pester us about owing them back.
Don't fall into that trap.
I finally felt how good it feels to make other people feel good. And it honestly is something of a magnitude I've never experienced before. Spending $20, $30, or even $40 on a person makes them feel happy. And it makes you feel happy. And it's really not that much if you're not strapped for cash. Save up a few meals, buy fewer drinks, and make someone that much happier for the holidays.
Another love fits in pretty well here. ^^
Cheers! Merry Christmas!
