EMUSE is an electronica blog that I post when I've found enough tracks I want to post. I want it to be weekly, but sometimes I just don't feel like gathering up my favourites. Plus, I'm trying to cut back on my consumption. My "Unlabeled" folder is getting out of hand.
Please enjoy! And stick around to listen to Piranha, or read my spotlight post, "Never heard of it".
Pink Feathers - In A Spell
Female vocals are so good..
Andain - Beautiful Things
2000s trance anyone? Pure and masterful trance.
Tristam - I Remember
Glitch Hop is a recent guilty pleasure. Tristam!
Coyote Kisses - Six Shooter
The tune is unbelievably groovy.
Aytac Kart - Christina
Shake it up with some heavier melodic house.
Minnesota - Tokyo
Not sure what genre this is. I'll go will experimental chill. The chorus on this track is really catchy.
Seven Lions feat. Ciscandra Nostalghia - Serpent Of Old
This is so dirty it's magnificent. Seven Lions is always magical.
Gramatik - Muy Tranquilo
Never anything wrong with some classy, upbeat piano jazz mix.
Icona Pop - All Night (TheFatRat Remix)
Really fun remix to another catchy song.
Little Boots - Earthquake (Fytch Remix)
This is honestly how I wish dubstep was done. More with the shaking and less with the drop.
Wolfgang Gartner - Illmerica
This is pretty catchy. The tune is a bit less original than Piranha but it's really memorable.. o_o
Wolfgang Gartner - Piranha
This song is somewhat godly … the main verse just blows my mind. Can't wait for it to be released. Hopefully it won't disappoint.
Never heard of it
http://alistapart.com/column/never-heard-of-it
This is cool, and part of that whole "being conscious" ideology.
We tend to just turn on auto-pilot and nod our heads along when we don't hear something 100%, or if we're pretending to understand something so we don't feel bad about not knowing. It's really worth taking a step back and realizing that you're doing this and owning up to when you don't actually know what's going on.
And especially being able to say never heard of it and not feel panic. That'd be nice.
