Facing the First Terran
Lobo, just after facing 2 zergs in a row and winning solely by muta-ling strat, faced a T for the first time in the practice league.
Actually, I was not that sure of playing more games at this time, especially when I think about the fact that I DIDN'T EVEN LOOK AT WHAT CAMPAIGN LOOKS LIKE. The fact is that since I've read the scenario, I'm still nerdraging to the campaign for not-putting Zeratul, Duran, Hybrids and showing Overmind in just a few cases (or just 1 case). It was just so fucking stupid of FUCKtivison-Blizzard to spin the campaign around Raynor, Arcturus, Tychus and Kerrigan while excluding a lot of things which can make a very fucking good scenario. Especially when I heard Day[9] in Daily #180 saying that "You can finish the campaign in brutal with all the achievements accomplished only with medic marines", I found another reason to skip campaign and go on with the practice league.
But, as I'm lying on my bed on my chest while my laptop is right in front of me, playing this song:
When this song plays, I want to smoke a cigar instead of playing my way through the practice fucking league. Clicking "cancel" right after clicking "find match" was something that I did for quite a few times before it did not allow me to click by saying "player found, match starts in 3, 2, 1, the game started you mofo now you got to face this T".
What was my bo in this game? Well, I have a challenge vs T, which was to "Beat a Terran in Practice Fucking League with Banelings and Infestors", which I remembered after putting a lair on.
So, my bo was 13 pool, 13 ext, CUT FUCKING DRONES AT 16 (well, I actually wrote this thing exactly like this to remember to cut drones), build a queen at 16, and an overlord. If anyone played the practice league before, all the games are played on novice maps with 2 destructible fucking rocks at the entrances of both sides of map and players are so bad at timing that you can do a 5 hatch before pool and negate the first attack with first few zerglings, queen(s) and possibly spine crawlers or end the game with 200/200 drone timing push. But, this T was much better than I expected after playing first 2 Zs with both unable to defend against 6 mutas.
Play this before going on:
So it begins... I built my 1st drone, sent my drones to my minerals, and sent my ovie right to my opponent's base. At the time I was like 15/18, I noticed the tech lab. BAM !! He goes marines. After I scouted a little more, he targetted my overlord with his marine, but I was able to save my little scout with 75 hp remaining on him. But, was it because I'm a hero who lets nobody on his side die to some Terran mofos? Or is it just because he's too slow and he had only 1 marine when I was on 20? Actually the 2nd one looks much more probable. Anyway, what I did next was to get my nat and start it working.
I macroed up until 80 food, build 2 more overlords and went on attack with my ling-baneling army.
The only thing he had was some little group of marine-marauder which was easily torn apart by my lings and at that time, my baneling speed was not completed and so my banelings were only half the way or so.
After that, I rained heavy destruction upon my enemy's base and blew his CC up with my banelings.
And my opponent said gg and left.
