The Paramore blog reminded me that I've been wanting to get into pop music a bit more. Currently, I listen mostly to metal and progressive...the only pop-ish music I've really been able to get into are Korea's Cherry Filter, and stuff Yoko Kanno has done for anime. -____-;;

Can anyone give me recommendations on some good shit?

I'm also particularly interested in Korean and Japanese rock...they tend to have a refreshing quality to them...though that's probably because I've grown up around US shit.

I swear I will track down, torture, and kill anyone who recommends the likes of Britney Spears or Fergie.
