As I mentioned in the OP - it's also Korean interpretations of other culture's foods. Waffles aren't indigenous to Korea, but they're very popular here in the Winter as a snack food.

British Chinese food is really nice (depending upon where you go.) I've heard it's a very watered down version of the cookery found within Chinese itself however. I'm not sure how accurate that is in relation to Chinese owned restaurants in the UK, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's true.
