So it's almost the end of the semester and we were asked to do a fun project for the final evaluation. This is a business/technical writing class and I've been doing quite average in it. Furthermore, it is the last English class I have to take for the requirements of my major.
Problem
The project is the following: To design a set of instructions that complete a certain action/activity and takes up to 6-7 minutes of execution time; so it should't be something as simple as a set of instructions to tie your shoes, or something as complex as building an airplane. It should not include anything that involves the use of food, weapons, or computer programs/databases.
Evaluation
The instructions should be easy enough to read and carry out so that a randomly drawn student in the class can complete them without receiving any additional imput than the instructions themselves. I have to include images with it too. If the student can sucessfully carry out the instructions, I will pass the final!
Example
How to easily crack a coconut
Tools you will need:
1. Hammer
2. Dish towel
3. Freezer
Instructions:
1. Cool coconut in the freezer for an hour
2. Wrap it in a dish towel
3. Tap it with a hammer all around until it cracks
Caution: Kids ask for your parents' permission before you crack the coconut with a hammer.
Request
Since this is my final English class, and my final project as well, I would like to make this project memorable. However, I'm very bad when having to come up with original/epic/1337/ub3r ideas for anything. So my request it simple, what would you recommend?
Thanks!
