Poll: Who will be the Best SCII player?

Because Warcraft III takes very little mechanical skill in comparison to Starcraft, Warcraft III players will be far more prepared having had the last 4 years competing against each other in a game that requires pure dynamic skill and absolutely zero mechanical. Starcraft players while training far harder and MUCH more will have their mechanical skills be made obsolete and will have a rough time making the transition since those secondary skills are already taking a backseat to their pure mechanical skill.
The SK scene will take bow down to the Chinese and German scenes while Grubby and Moon will destroy all those who oppose.

The game speed and mechanics are supposed to be similar, blizzard has said it time and time again they are trying to make it as much like starcraft as they can while giving it something different and new, meaning they are going to try to maintain game speed and the necessity of mechanics while adding new strategic elements to the game.
Whether the fuck it up or not we won't know until it's released.

Sure it does but like I said they are secondary skills and the mechanical skills are generally more important otherwise you wouldn't see so many battle mistakes and idle units in top korean games. Starcraft's map design and user interface SO FAR (it could be changed) definitely favors Warcraft III players.

i don't think it'll be so cut and dry. WC3 players will be competitive with high level BW players but i highly doubt that Moon or Grubby would stand a chance vs. someone like Flash. They'd definitely be forces to be reckoned with though.

think that grubby or moon could do as well as jaedong boxer flash nada oov july bisu etcetc at micro in wc3 then I think you are probably slightly insane because if you just watch the speed and accuracy of their clicks and their ability to multitask it clearly outranks any wc3 player. Add in the fact that (I think almost certainly) SC has more strategic depth and you get a game that any SC gosu could easily master and dominate at...imo.
