The best SC2 players will be SC2 players. How hard is that to understand? Whether they originally were from SC, WC3, or whether they don't play RTS much prior to SC2, it doesn't matter. SC2 players will own at SC2. What other games they play is irrelevant

It's like saying Street Fighter players should own at CS while Final Fantasy players have no shot.

The Elky thing is not even accurate. He came 2nd in the first major league, and retired not long after. Like virtually every other Starcraft player, he said that Warcraft3 left him bored because of its simplicity. Not bashing Warcraft3, they are different games. Starcraft IS the bar all other rts are judged by though, and war3 IS inferior. Still a good game of course, and I have to admit the amazing complexity and balance found in Starcraft, was part luck, part ten years of balance, and part genius.
