You always have to divide death metal into the three elements: grind, melodic and technical. JFAC, who are for kids btw because they are shit (imo), are grind, and devildriver (who are piss poor) are melodic. Better melodic death = wintersun, children of bodom.

Atreyu are a bunch of fags. Emo. Fags would call them metal core, but metal core is for fags.

A7X I used to listen to, but they are basically semi-christian emo/heavy metal.

Anyway, if you like these bands, chances are you just need to progress, like we all did at your age, to better bands. Don't worry, everyone's music taste is like yours when they are like, 16 or 17 (which you better be- if older, LAME). You just need to discover proper examples of those genres.

Ancestral listed proper bands btw. But I disagree with norther, who are ripoffs of CoB, who are pretty shite themselves (wintersun are better); I also disagree with behemoth, thier songwriting is uninspiring at best.

Check out necrophagist, emperor, opeth, dimmu borgir, rotting christ, pantera.

And for power metal, there is absolutely no way you cannot listen to rhapsody. Best power metal band ever (imo best songwriting in any genre of metal). Listen to their breakthrough album, legendary tales. Sick as!

Rhapsody cannot be considered gay. They are italian- there is a difference. They honestly don't understand the music they make sounds cheesy to fags and retards like you. If you take their music at face value, musically, it is EXTREMELY superior to fucking shite like atreyu. It is as well written and played as metal gets. The guitar and keys work is incredible, and the orchestral work is fantastic. Atreyu offer nothing except some fucking faggy addiction to fucking vampires.

Atreyu is a band for fucking little wankers who cum on their wrist wounds every night before typing to their other middle class friends about how difficult life is and how cool it would be to be a vampire/ anally raped by their father.

Rhapsody is a band for people who can look past social stigma and see excellent music. (/ like tolkein-inspired fantasy, which tbh is pretty lame but whatever, they are rhapsody. They have lyrics like 'for the glory the power to win the dark lord'. And tbh that's pretty win right there)

But regardless of ALL of that, I was only responding to holylight's insult. Rhapsody cannot be considered fags. They can be considered potentially immature, with all their fantasy babble, and their music can be considered cheesy etc; but whining faggot bands like atreyu are the bands which are fags because they whine like a cat that's been run over by a truck and is about to die.

And I'm not telling people what they can and cannot listen to. Go ahead and listen to anything. Hell, I listen to literally everything. My favourite music is from the beach boys, stevie wonder and rhapsody.

But why the fuck can't I say you're a poncy little faggot for liking atreyu? If someone took a puff of them, there would be enough smoke to blot out the sun.
