Anticipation is one of the most important skills in SC. There were 4 close calls in this game: 1) Making a sunken in anticipation of your probe. Not reacting to it with lings doesn't mean not seeing it. 2) Your first raid on his expo. He saw a probe that tried to scout. Whenever I see someone discover my expansion that I consider to be in a vulnerable position (like that one), I anticipate an attack. Sending forces there to intercept is common sense. This is especially evident as you directed your attack force elsewhere and he lost his pool. 3) His ling raid on your expo. It might seem suspicious, but by that time, any toss would expand to that spot. He sent many lings to shut the expo down, thus he expected it to be already up and running. It's somewhat hard to explain, but I understand his reasoning perfectly in this situation, I would've done the same. You don't need to see toss expoing there to be 90% sure he has. 4) His last intercept. Once again, he figured his weak spot and tried to reinforce it. As suspicious as it might be, people do it all the time - try to guess where the enemy will strike at and arrive with your forces before he is there. If he maphacked, he wouldn't send his pathetic ling/lurker force right into your gigantic army (even a complete noob would figure the estimated results of that fight), but even moreso, he sent them on move. Those lurkers never burrowed, they were clearly sent on move to reach his expo and be burrowed there. He just ran his army into yours and died, would you expect that from a guy who maphacks? The only possible suspicious thing is the disparity between his MU knowledge (that is abysmal, no spire, no evos, 2k gas in the bank) and his map control skills (which are decent, albeit not perfect), but such people are existent, just quite rare. Especially if you say he's offracing. Anything other concerning that particular replay is a normal thing every good player does. The only way you could possibly accuse someone of maphack is repeated clearly illogical behavior that is repeatedly benefical. This guy diplayed behavior that was pretty logical and not that benefical at the same time. | ||
