Now, i have experienced the usual "protoss is easy" experience. Compared to terran, protoss is really straight forward. Just have a decent probe production and gateway spending and you huge army will do the rest. Ok, do some harass, storm here and there, but you don't have to babysit your army (again, at a D level). With terran, tvp at least, you get punished from a lot of stuff. Moving your army to fast will get it fight in a bad position, too slow will miss the chance to do damage or get outmacroed, you have to pay attention to where the enemy's army is. The mindset you need is quite different, with protoss you just react to defend, punish or harass, but with terran you also react to attack or tech. Also timing becomes a bigger factor that you need to know to be able to use them properly. With protoss timing feels more natural. Unit building too. And this is not just getting used to a new race since i have been playing with zerg too, causally of course. But again, with zerg you can get away from matches by just being better at macroing, which was the key to winning against most of my friends. Huge armies with attack move can do good enough.
Anyway, just a little rant as to my efforts to get this race that i never sympathized with and slowly beginning to hate, really hate (previously it was just a mild hate).
here's a rep of 2 fact vs reaver tech. Yeah, there are a lot of mistakes, but it's an ok replay to share IMO. I'm not asking for advice since i have a pretty good view of my screw ups, just for the people bored enough to watch another rep.
