Felt like I wanted to write something today, so I figured it's time to update the blog section of my life a bit.

Not much have changed since last time but some things have.

One of those things being my work contract running out soon. August 1st is my last day of employment in my current job. Which is IT tech support at a school. It's been a good 2 years there. I'm very pleased to have had the option to turn my interest in computers into a living. Now I have to find something new to do. I hope I can get a new job in IT but i'm not 100% sure. The work market kind of sucks now. People are moving around and even out of the country to find employment. It's very tough jumping into this job hunting madness allready. Employers allready get 100's of people applying for just one job T.T.

Thinking I have to be better than all those other applicants is probably gonna be real hard, but I believe in myself. So at least that's nice...

I've stopped playing 4v4 and 3v3 seriousely. I can't find a good game anymore. I am 4.9k and unfortunately almost nobody else plays at that mmr so I'm stuck not being able to find proper games against other M1 players.

I don't understand why Starcraft never got well known for teamgames. Blizzard wanted to focus on having an E-Sport game based on 1v1 while the rest of the world plays Teamgames like LoL, Dota 2, CSGO, Overwatch etc. It's great fun but nobody plays anymore. I've only encountered one pro gamer in teamgames and some 10-15gms. They never play much so I never get practice vs good players so there's no point.

I stopped 1v1 in LOTV after screwing around at D2 with Random. It's horrible really. They messed up 1v1 with the "new" units. I went back to WoL and started having good fun. Made me realize why I started playing in the first place. More room for tactical play, slower paste and no all kill units like liberator and disruptor & lurker makes the game that much more fun to play.

That's all that's been on my mind lately.

about LotV just look at it as an opportunity to experiment with new units (basically having fun doing wild stuff) a lot of people agree that there is too much ultimate stuff in SC2... just look at browder's previous games (you could even play as Sauron in LotR, lol).

as for why Starcraft never became known for team games... well, actually team games were a big thing among top players near the launch of SC2. but i think the real reason is that SC2 is the successor to BW which was not much like SC2 in terms of climate. BW was more like "my nerd jock will slaughter your nerd jock every day for the rest of his life"... so team games weren't super popular all the time because the atmosphere was this ground and pound between "known players" (who all hated each other with the exception of Artosis--who is probably famous for this reason).

you could pretty much argue that every BW player was IdrA with the exception of Artosis.

If you can rely on people yeah, teamgames are the way to go to pleasure yourself. Personally, I hate teamgames soooooooooooooooooooo much, very much, because the skill of your mates depends too and this is just a no go, nerd jock does not allow stuff like this.

This is a new world indeed; in italy we say that hunting for a job is harder than doing the actual job itself;
You say many people around you are monving around or out to get jobs; this has been true since the beginning of time to some degree; for example, many workers who built the pyramids where of very distant parts of egypt and also foreigners. You should freshen up your cv, but also look at what you would like to spend your time doing in case you cannot get another IT job. Because today its more easy than ever to do your dream job, and actually make money at it. When we are inthusiastic about comething, that passion trasmits into study, knoweledge, and experience in the matter, and people are always above all looking for people that can do the job well, have a good attitude, and can grow in some ways from it. What is important is to factor in as well who you are, what you do, what are your strenghts as well, what are your ambitions, not only what skills, experience and how you work. In france for example, every candidate is required to have a letter of motivation, explaining why they want the job, and elaborating a little bit more personally on why you are into this field of work. And also, if you are applying for different jobs, you should write slightly different cv' s , based on whom it is that is potentially hiring you.

And even do moving around comes with a cost, usually in being comfortable, new places stimulate you in new ways, you make new friends, you are up to new challanges. So it is worthwile considering the option. It doesn' t have to be forever, and you can always come back in the end.
