International gaming arena was struck by revolution with the introduction of a proficient multiplayer online battle arena competent. Some of you have already started guessing about the unrevealed masterpiece’s identity. Guys, it's none other than our most favourite DOTA 2. DOTA, a name, that has already inscribed it's identity in the gaming history by its prolific provoking popularity. The sequel DOTA 2 gave it a potential hype. Some of the gaming geeks do describe it by using the terminology of “addiction”.
But such single scrutinising term has a lot in depth meaning under its hood. A real-time geek can only derive its true significance in the virtual, yet real world.
Dota 2 players should always be encouraged to play because it incur much positive effects on the player.

Realisation of significance of individuality and teamwork

Sometimes experiences elicit nightmares. Yes, that's exactly when you realise while spawning - as you gravely encounter the deadly combination of Phantom Lancer, Ember Spirit, Faceless Void and Gyrocopter being chosen by your opponent. Indeed, I do recapitulate my such horrendous experiences. Basically a truly coupled team has 5 players, each playing a very different and significant role of gank, carry and support. In order to distraught your opponent, each of the members must play their roles at pro level. Mistakes are unforgiving in this death arena. Involvement encompasses immense sacrifices and intense compromisation for safe passage, support and carry. Neither a self esteemed team nor a big time predator can rise without such sheer calibre. A dota 2 player can best describe the real meaning of teamwork. Ask one such, and in the very next interval you will be found appreciating such shallow intuitive framework.

Quick reflexes, timings and instant decision making

Dota 2 is a game of quick impulse and quicker reflexes. A proper preparation for potential adrenaline rush. A moment's distraction can invite a tormenting harbinger. Same goes for other genres like business and our lively living world. Timing and instantaneous decision making are the marked keywords in this amphitheatre. A crucial “ulti” has in it enough to devastate the opponent. All these are to be executed in proper time, even a bit to lag proves out to be consequential. Such are the virtual, yet real time calibre that dota players have instilled in them. Would Mark Zuckerberg be in the same strata if Facebook had launched in 2014? Inevitably no, time is the ultimatum. Perceive a high end battle, and you will gather enough about such inspirational qualities. Even if you can't estimate the mind reflexes of one such, just intercept the celerity of their fingers on keyboard.

Fun and money

Dota 2 is a sheer fun yet a serious game. But it soothes you with a mind exhilarating experience. Chatting while gaming, commanding each other, self compromisation - collectively simulate a unique, abstract and indescribable feeling. Patting each other after a hard win, scrutinising the mistakes after a tough fight helps one to become a proper kind in a way or other.
Dota 2 player makes a lot of money because it's a game that's being taken into challenges from long. International level championships, state level championships, inter school and college championships help such gaming geek to gather a grasp of money.

i've taken this same attitude with NHL '94 hockey. So i don't have time for Dota 2.

I played Dota 2 for 2 years, and as a support player, it was pain for me to play all time with 4 idiots who can't pick anything that is not carry hero. Now I play SC2 and I would not change it. Dota 2 sucks in my opinion, regardless of prize pools or publicity...

This. I'm personally mindblown that someone can have the experience the OP had in Dota 2. It'd be fun with a team I guess, but playing with randoms is quite possibly the worst video gaming experience I've ever had in my life that I strangely endured for hundreds or thousands of hours before realizing that it didn't make me happy at all.

I have logged 350+ hours people vs bots and decided I wouldn't be able to handle the stress playing vs the real people. Sure lots of folks enjoy the game but lots of people would also enjoy being a manager at a big company (I wouldn't enjoy it for the same reason). It's unforgiving and you are not only responsible for yourself but your team. It's appealing to people with a certain mindset.

Luckily for you I am working on a framework for custom Dota 2 Bots , so you can not only play vs bots but also have the bots on your own team do what you want them to do (unlike the build in bots who sometimes don't respond to your pings properly)

check out the proof of concept here:
http://www.liquiddota.com/blogs/512441-dota-2-bot-api-6-apache-php-framework-poc
If you cannot win with 100 apm, win with 100 cpm.

This is a devilish post, you should play the only almighty MOBA: League of Legends.

If an enemy member leaves a game it is not canceled.
It's less confusing because you don't have all the heroes at first so you can learn better.
There is only one "support" so there are more actions.
The game is prettier, it has this funny cartoonish style, way better than dota shit.
LoL was out BEFORE dota 2, people will talk about dota 1 but that was not even a game that was a mod and it was unplayable.
You got FULL skins on LoL no need to buy a full set of stupids items.
Do they have leagues on dota2? no they have a stupid number "mmr" whatever how confusing and unnapealing, and we got seasons rewards on LoL.
LoL is just so much better and the community is friendly and loving and caring and all, you don't trust me? just google "teemo cosplay" on google pictures.
LoL has the LCS, a well organized league all over the wolrd, what does dota2 have? some leagues here and there, some tournaments without any real organisation? how can you follow this game.
Also LoL took the higher road and they separate us from the Russians, and because you only play with people from your region, you have a good ping and can communication with people.
LoL is easier to start than dota2 and then it became hardcore but still fun.
In LoL you can't choose a "tutorial" ingame which mean you discover the game by yourself, and that's how games are supposed to be, fun!
LoL is just better, we even have a few movies that are quite good, and the lore of LoL is fantastic.

Some people might tell you "whatever to each their own" or "you can do both", that's true you can also decide to eat shit and fuck pigs, doesn't mean this is a good idea.

LoL is superior and everyone should accept it, in fact if they had added the 1vs1 mod earlier starcraft 2 wouldn't have stand a chance.
They didn't implemented the First Person View thing because they couldn't take that whole fps market like that and you might think "why didn't they made it like a MMORPG", well SMITE tried that and it is just not good.

LoL is the best game in the world and no one can say othervise, and when you report people they are actually being punish for being mean, but I wouldn't really know because I have NEVER encounter anyone salty or anything in game.

Also LoL UI is better, you see on the loading screen who has loaded and how much % they are in, and in the shop you see the actual recipe for each thing, while in dota it's a bit less clear.

dota2 is a communist game, design to seem "elitist" to appeal to the world, remember the two "big" communities of the game ? dota1 chinese, dota 2 russians, yep commies all the way.

People be responsible and protect your kids, install LoL on they computer, if you see steam start to worry and control them list, they might be adding the game, and also some people might still your items on dota2 hence stealing them money, you can't steal a skin on LoL, plus the prices are being shown in a virtual money so people are not corrupt by money like they are on steam.

I think that's it I rest my case, nothing more to be said, you could try to defend dota as much as you want, this game is inferior, I will admit that they got a good idea on the mod, but it turns to shit, thank god LoL appeared in our lives.

If people are not enjoying a game, they should absolutely stop playing it. No reason for a hobby meant to be fun to be such a drag.

Dota 2 was only fun with friends and as my friends got out of it, so did I. I put around 500 hours into it and I didn't find anything else fun about it. Ranked was a total shitfest. After I got ranked, that was enough torture for me. Pudge wars was the only fun things about the game unfortunately. I don't work well with people, so it's probably why I didn't enjoy it.

I still have fun with Dota 2 and I'm loving watching TI now, but I will admit I've slowed down with it. But I don't get all the "OMG other players" attitude. Just have fun with it. Flame back, do fun builds, whatever. Unless you're seriously doing an MMR climb (in which you should be playing mid anyways and controlling the game because ostensibly you're the best player on your team) then who cares about a random loss?

Of course I just broke my left arm so it's pretty much Civ 5 only for a while

the delusion of lol player is almost painful to behold

dota is good if you are in 4k+ bracket where the majority of people know how to play dota rather than the minority

if you make a new account and win the first 1-2 games you can immediately be playing there

i made a (unfinished) music video a while back

Heroes of newerth was the future but they fucked it up. Better graphics, better heroes, smoother gameplay and the list goes on.

Hahaha! You forgot Sony's minidisc!

Yeah I wasn't sure which moba would have emerged on top, but I never thought HoN was a contender.

Tried Dota2 recently, as I was a moderate fan of the original. Maybe I was just expecting something else, but i didn't really like the look, style, movement, and pace very much. I'm sure if I spent a few days grinding it, I'd get used to things, but when I weighed that proposition against finishing the Megaman Legacy collection and dicking around on Stardew Valley, Dota2 got uninstalled pretty fast.
The pretty things are going to hell, they wore it out but they wore it well

Dota2 is a lot more fun with friends... but i cant handle being stuck on a support in 99% of my games cause I am trying to win and then getting yelled at "Lol look at your score" as i am getting 0 farm and not getting anything from my 4 carries all rushing to max tier item...

That being said... i dont do LoL anymore either but thats cause I disagree with Riots plan for the past year or so.
