Originally I was going to put this out in November, but my old MIDI plugin got corrupted when I upgraded my computer (including replacing the hard drive it was on), so I pushed it back to Valentine's Day.
I've finally got my new one (Synthogy Ivory 1.6) up and running and although I'm still working out the finer details (you'll hear a tiny bit of clipping, but far less than I had before), I definitely think I can do more with this one than I've ever done with my old one, and this album is proof of that.
The tracks are generally more fiery than on my previous albums, although I have a few softer songs like "In the Arms of the Wailing Wind". Most of the songs are also more complex than anything I've done, with the last 4 tracks being rollercoasters of different lengths. But just as before, virtually every track involves me hitting piano keys very fast in all sorts of patterns.
Finally, there's the monster that closes this album: Christmas Love Story. I've been working on this song for nearly 4 years now, and it's in part a tribute to my ex-girlfriend who committed suicide the summer before last. It's 25 minutes long and could stand alone as an EP by itself.
