[Battle Report] How I got C-

Hey guys, I got C-! I'm going to write a battle report about it

So, before we get into the story of how Eywa- achieved C- by beating none other than Terramex, I would like to give a shout out to a dear friend of mine:

Dawww... Shimy, this one's for you!

Now, onto our story... Where to begin?

Well, Eywa- spawns in the top left position as the blue Protoss and Terramex spawns in the top right as the Purple ~~Terran~~ Protoss. Now, right off of the bat, Eywa- has to be experiencing some internal turmoil due to the race selection. You see... It's unclear if Terramex has gone through rehab to find the clarity of Protoss or whether he is insulting our way of life, perhaps he just feels that anyone can play Protoss... Well then Terramex, Eywa- can't possibly let you get away with that if there is even the slightest possibility that this is the truth. All we know for sure about this opponent is that he is indeed Mexican.

OH DEAR! It's the from? Cheese, something our hero is all too familiar with... He looks around the map and unfortunately, he doesn't see his own gateways in the center... There is no possibility of a preemptive strike. Panic sets in!

I know this looks wrong, but Eywa- swears, it's just a scout.

Luckily for both players, they scouted each other on the first attempt. EVERYTHING_LOOKS_NORMAL

Now, clearly Terramex has never played against Eywa- before because the scouting probe went back to base... This has the potential of escalating real quick... Eywa- is smacking his lips at the opportunity to build more DTs.

One cowardly zealot retreats from the ramp of Eywa-'s base as a well timed dragoon is there to deny it's entry.

The Archive! It hasn't been scouted

Terramex returns, this time he brings a friend with the zealot! Let the micro begin!

Eywa- gently escorts them from the premise.
[image loading]

The first DT is out! Eywa- seems to be at a slight disadvantage in military, however, he takes an economic lead with this early expansion.

Unfortunately, the "from?" was actually the anti-cheese, Eywa- had fully expected to see a Templar Archive in this base, instead he gets some phase disruptor shots to the head... It didn't help with the hangover he was suffering from... Not one bit!

Terramex's experiences as a Terran player have left him wary of DTs and with no spidermines to defend, he is forced to wait for cannons before moving out. The threat of a backstab was too great.

By the time Terramex is ready to strike, the defenses are in place... But will they be sufficient? Rrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeebboooooooooooooooo

Stoooooooooooooooooormuuuuuuu. STORM ON EVERYTHING! Eywa- is going in for the reavers...

The last reaver is going to go down! But EYWA-, Eywa- lost all of his army!
[image loading]

Probes come off the line! The dragoons were already injured from the storm, Eywa- holds!

With Terramex's army out of the way, Eywa- uses the tech advantage to easily take a 3rd base. Unfortunately, Terramex managed to catch the incoming probe transfer... Or did the probe transfer catch him? His army is split and is easily taken out. It's over for you Terramex! GO BACK TO TERRAN ye coward!

After a couple more days of 3 base macro, Eywa- has a sizable army with which he is confident enough to make his move.

Reeeeeeeeeeeebooooooooooooooooooooooooo This time it isn't enough, Terramex doesn't have the support for it, the Templar goes down to storm as well!

Terramex just lost his reaver... Now is the time to... Push out?

Unfortunately, the Observer of Eywa-'s army took a suicidal run into the cannon at the natural expansion, so Eywa- was warded off momentarily by a few DTs, however, it isn't all bad... It gave him the time to bring you the following:

The carnage...

After Terramex's economy got lit up like the 4th of July, Eywa- decided, it was time... A voice in his head said... FINISH HIM!

I should really try going DTs in PvP more often.

Yeah, the biggest advantage of going DTs in PvP (especially at lower levels) is that you don't actually have to spend any APM on your harass, you can kind of transition straight into your macro game.

Shimy, I appreciate your support in my retirement thread recognizing my invaluable worth to the BW foreign scene. It appears out of pure jealousy of the attention I was receiving that the MODS chose to lock the thread, before others could share the same sentiment as you.
