Hello TL,
I haven't posted in a while, this post is entirely for the Montreal population. I am a big fan of table top games and I often watch the web series "Tabletop". As such, this is a blog post about this thing called "International Table Top Day" which is defined to be April 11th this year.
Every 2-3 weeks generally, I host a gaming event at my apartment to which we generally have an attendance of 15-25 people. In the spirit of International Table Top Day, I will extend a certain amount of invites to the public, and to members of this community who reside in Montreal. If you're interested and you reside in Montreal, please contact me, I will give you all of the information you need to participate, of course... This is entirely free, there is no fee, I supply the games, all you have to bring is yourself (and a friend! - if you so desire).
This event is open to all levels of gamer, the age group which generally attend range from 20-30. I am very excited to hear what types of games you're interested in.
The following is a list of games I own:
Dominion + All Expansions Ticket to Ride Europe Ticket to Ride Nordic Countries Ticket to Ride Asia 7 Wonders Poker Wizard Alhambra Small World Small World Underground Forbidden Island Civilization + Fame & Fortune Chess x3 Admirals The great downhill ski game Stock ticker Clue Risk Star Wars Risk Takenoko The Resistance Axis & Allies Hive Banana Grams Yu-Gi-Oh Magic Things Pandemic + All Expansions DEAD Panic A world at war Twilight Struggle Dominant Species Lords of Waterdeep Memoir 44' Geek Out! Geek Out! (Pop Culture) Settlers of Catan BANG! Sherrif Of Nottingham Game Of Thrones Carcassonne Munchkin Merchants & Marauders Love Letter The Hare & The Tortoise Monty Python Fluxx Resistance: Hidden Agenda Resistance: Hostile Intent Kamisado Life Boats
If there is a game that is not on the list, that you would love to play, please let me know. You may bring it, or I can see if I am able to somehow acquire it. I won't be able to fulfill all requests, but maybe some!
It's always a great time, I hope to meet lots of new and exciting people in the process!
Please contact me for all details regarding this event: Location, time, Facebook event. You can find the event also on the international table top day's website, you can probably also find other Montreal destinations as we come closer to the date.

Not that I can come obviously, but you gotta have "Merchants&Marauders" in there! It's so much fun 3-4 players, and the game is never over for anyone until it's somebody finally wins which makes it great for a get-together.

Just have to say I'm quite jealous of your collection! You single handedly put my entire gaming group to shame. You might branch more into euros though. Missing Carcassonne, agricola, and terra mystica all of which would really add something. You'll find someone with those games though for sure.
My wife and I love Dominion. What storage option did you elect for sorting all the expos? You build your own too ?

I just looked it up, it seems pretty good, though it is said to have a 3 hour run time. That's not a problem per say, but it is less flexible in some ways than certain other games. I could definitely see myself getting that one in the future though.

I actually forgot to include Carcassonne on the list for the sole reason that (I know it's a shame) it never gets played. I still have all of the original boxes for Dominion and they're still sorted as such.
Agricola (for some reason) frustrates me to no end.

If you like card-based games with cool interactions, I highly recommend Innovation which is kind of like Civilization and MtG had a baby. The basic ideas are pretty easy to pick up once you've played a game, but there is also a lot of intricate depth as you get more experience. And it's always fun to progress through the "tech tree" no matter how the game is going. Also, epic turnarounds are always possible, and early game "duds" can turn into huge bombs later -- it always keeps you on your toes. I been hyping this game ever since I got it. ^^

You good sir have probably triggered my next fun money Amazon purchase! All the research on Innovation sounds great! The theme checks out, mechanics look deep but straightforward, and most importantly, it's plays well with two people. My wife and I love playing Dominion, but it's not as fun with just the two of us. Watching a tutorial/let's play now to get a better feel for it.

Lots of fun every turn figuring out what the plan is supposed to be, every game is different. Trying to get multiplayer games when we can and it's really great how it changes up the cards and the strategies you're used to when you add more players. Lmk what you think if when you get it
