Hey guys, since I have a new project I wanted to share it with TL, which has been my home and probably the site I've visited the most in my life. It's been a long time from my last blog and since I am going to start a new journey and I'm super excited I felt like writing about it.
I basically blogged the project on LiquidPoker http://www.liquidpoker.net/poker-forum/1117981/Road_to_100k,_a_brand_new_start.html Long story short I was playing poker for the last year coached by an italian poker school. I was starting to make good money but not enough as I expected considering all the hard work I put into it, and then I found out my coaches were a fraud and slowed my progress on purpose for their own short term benefit (sometimes I forget to never trust italians at work)
After a bit of emotional trauma I decided to change discipline and now I'm playing cash poker for the last month (which is going really well) and I decided I will do anything it takes to make 100k€ from now on until the end of 2015. I also discovered that poker could be as interesting and fascinating as Starcraft and I have to say I didn't feel so excited from when I was becoming a top player in Brood War.
I often get messages from Starcraft people asking me where I am, and this is pretty much what I've been doing and my plans for the future. Right now I'm healthy, I also have a great girlfriend for a year that I love a lot and I'm really happy with my life. Thinking that only a few years back depression was taking away all the appreciation I should have had for my beautiful experience as Starcraft progamer is incredible, and I definitely I want to enjoy my life to the fullest right now.
I will keep you guys updated sporadically here, if you visit my blog on liquidpoker though I'll be posting my progress in poker there constantly. Of course if there is any question I will be happy to answer

You want to make 100k euro from poker in under 18 months?

By the way I never told you but I still remember studying every single move and build order you did in your PvZ replays back then when I started. Your PvZs on Blade Storm (was it the correct map name? I can't remember) were epic. Back then I had the same feeling I have now for poker

Good luck. Hopefully you don't make "common" mistake that you go too fast play big money and lose some serious money.

Best of luck, Cloud! Just take it one step at a time.

Just out of curiosity, can you explain how these coaches slowed you down on purpose? Did they give you bad advice so you would require their services for alonger period of time? I've never been coached in poker before (or anything really) and I have no idea how it works^^
Other than that, sounds awesome! Hope you kick ass at poker

Hope you kick ass at poker Last time I spoke with him, he told me he believed that if I made too much money I wouldn't pay him, so I just think he was aiming to make me make only a moderate amount of money (btw when he told me this I was like are u fucking kidding me). He often gave me advice that would be the exact opposite of what he told other times, and his explaination often was "you are not good enough at poker to understand all the variables in place here" followed by some kind of backwards rationalization of what he said. Also he was playing the higher stakes of my format, so he did not want to make a good player out of somebody who could take his money later on. I was just very dumb to let him fool me for a year, but I was told by other sources he was a great player, so I kept going thinking that eventually I would understand the game and start winning big. He also hid from me every source of information and said SNG stuff was outdated. One of many examples would be there is a book by Colin Moshman that explains all the theory of SNG (Sit'n Go, the poker format I was playing at the time) and he told me to never read it because it was bad info. In fact it's the best book a beginner could read, but Colin Moshman has his own school of poker and he charges half of the guy running the italian school (LOL) so he didn't want me to find out this piece of information.

I think the unavoidable swings in poker are not suited to someone with a depressive personality.
