So after a 2 (2.5?) year hiatus I've logged into TL again. It looks like I have 7 PMs from people worried whether I was alive, and one from Plexa revoking my banling status. Thanks for removing that ugly yellow open report text, Plex. Actually I'm wondering if my icon got reset to whatever TL uses now or whether it went back to the Liquipedia globe.

A lot has happened but here are the main points:
- Started a full-time Masters Degree by correspondence because I wasn't putting my B.Sc. to good use.
- After enrolling, got a job where I could put my B.Sc. to use. Was now working full-time and doing a full-time Masters. This is mainly why I had to cut myself off from TL.
- Got engaged. Hooray.
- Moved to Saskatchewan for work. It's cold here and there's nothing to do.
- Got a kitty. His name is Thorin.
- Got married. Her name is not Thorin. Come to think of it, we met indirectly because of TL. So thanks guys.
- Got a house. At least I have somewhere to call home in this wasteland.
- Finished my Masters' Dissertation late January but only got confirmation of completion last week or so. This is why I'm back.
I never bought or liked SC2, so I can probably cite that as part of the reason I started to wane into inactivity. I still don't intend on playing or even watching it (except Jaedong or something), but will probably start getting into other discussions here again. I'm extremely happy that the layout hasn't changed significantly.
So, to everyone that joined after I left, simply doesn't remember me, or wondered where I went, I hope that TL is still the community that embraced me with open arms about 8 years ago.
Parting thoughts:
- I'll be at Comic Con in Calgary this late April, helping my sister with her booth. If anybody in that area wants to catch up, let me know.
- Anybody in Saskatoon area? I need friends that aren't douches.
- I'm writing the CFA Level II Exam in June. Anybody looking for study partners, PM me.
- I'm learning Mandarin (HSK 5 vocab is the goal) and Japanese (conversational). Any language partners, PM me.

I see that "pics or gtfo" is still the mantra around here 
I promise to post one kitty picture with each new blog.
Intrigue I'll PM you. Not sure if I want a huge "online presence" right now.
EDIT: Oh yeah, the booth.
She has a small business that sells gaming baby/toddler clothing and has recently branched out to quirky colorful jewelry. I think as all the people that grew up with the Atari are starting to have kids, it's definitely an interesting niche.

he was just asking for pics, i dont think anyone says "pics or gtfo" anymore. get with the times sister
edit: should probably add a "XD" at the end of it, just in case it rubs you the wrong way.

TheEmulator lives (or lived?) in Saskatoon as determined by his old custom TL location  . Also, where did you move from?
I didn't really notice previously, but now that you mention it, I only just noticed that I haven't seen you post in ages o.o

Moved from Calgary then Edmonton for undergrad. Here for work.

Looks like you got your banhammer back. Welcome back- if you've been gone for 2.5 years, then there has been some exciting things happenings with BW with the SSL re-establishing Korean BW.

I looked at SSL and am super excited for BW. Coming back this week to TL was such incredible timing, with the SSBM announcement. Honestly, I may have left again if not for seeing some hope in BW and this latest news.

I'm not as familiar with you since I wasn't around at your time but having another Canadian return to TL is always a good thing lol. Also, how old is that cat now? 2? 3? Am I way off? lol. Welcome back

Thorin's about 6 months old now. Pic was at the 2-3 month age. He used to weigh .5kg and now he's like 3kg.
