lots of speedruns involve bug abuse and this is part of the amazement of them. when you watch someone seemingly randomly backflip 8 times, sidestep 5 times left, half-step forwards, sidestep twice, plant a bomb then pause the game, unpause into backflip into skipping a cutscene triggerpoint, the amazement is in the sheer retarded complexity they must have gone through to figure that out . then they do that sort of crazy shit again and again and again. it defies belief
this year we saw someone jump off a bridge, respawn in the game TITLE SCREEN(???iirc), then resume with otherwise impossible-to-attain equipment
