There is a wedding tomorrow and earlier this night I got to see my cousin's newly adopted child for the first time. He is about 3 years old now and he is korean! That buckled with the fact that he looks like a mini Lee Young Ho (Flash!) has given me absolute baby fever. Now I have always told my girlfriend I wanted a korean child, and I love korean culture it's something I've been surrounded by for the past decade. Well she saw the mini Lee Young Ho and thought it was the cutest baby ever...and she's someone who has never loved children. Well she has baby fever now too.
So this has developed into an interesting past couple hours in our lives because we both started googling Korean adoptions without even discussing it with each other. It was just both on our minds all night with out a single spoken word between each other. At this point we were on pages where you could see and read about current children.
Where our plans deviated began now. While we both have always been warm to the idea of adopting she obviously wants a child base on character and personality while I have a different strategy. Every time we select a kid to view I make her wait while I open a new tab and search a few pro starcraft players to see who the kid likes the most.
For instance, there was this one kid who looked like a skinny Movie, but I knew deep down that he looked more like the player RuBy. And no way was I going to let her adobt a child that was one a B level starcraft player and two NOT a protoss player. I'm very race specific about what kind of child I am going to have. So then she starts getting mad at me and tells me that adopting a korean kid cannot be based strictly on Starcraft! At this time I'm taken aghast. At one point did we start deviating from this plan. So I have no choice but to proceed forward with my series of tests without her knowledge. I will not mention them here as you cannot steal my korean recruitment methods.
Now this has been all fun in the last paragraph or two but this is the first time my girlfriend has even considered children, but only if it's Korean so it's an exciting time in my life because the possibilities exist there now. Either way it was the end to a great day and night and I wanted to share that little story with you.
