So, while Lucas was wrestling Bees, and Andrew fought Australian Internets, things happened in the lands of Mad Science.

Dino Cavallo was on the run from the mob, and got chased into a building, only to find himself inexplicably in a Broom closet at the other end of the world. Pursuers followed suit, and got overwhelmed. Science got done, and now Johnny and "The Gun" are happy owners of shovelhands. Tommy was supposed to get turned into a cyborg, but apparently people got bored halfway through the procedure. Johnny got kidnapped by a rogue Warbot, and Mr. Timurhan Bey from the D. of Mesozoic Offense was missing some Raptors, which were promptly found. A nice lady called Dulcea Magallanez brought cupcakes and a talk about the future. Insects were searched for, and turned into tunnelling acid insects.

Slightly suspicious, investigations were started. Apparently the Boss, a Mr. Lenin, was mostly around a different place. Mrs. Gloria Vella of the D. of Transportation was bribed with a 2 km Tunnel to accidentally leave a transportation device to that site open.

Apparently Mr. Vladimir Ilyich Lenin is building a monstrous armored red Zeppelin and other warmachines there. After a hastily retreat, the group is now pondering their options.

Yeah so basically ive had two different internet-usb sticks malfunction on me two weeks in a row. The first one overheated, the second i turned off to let it cool down and it never turned back on, as im sure you noticed. This week ill try whispering sweet words and soft kisses, but i wouldnt be surprised if you only get me for a couple of hours again

Sorry guys, but I'll have to meet my fellow university guys again tomorrow. It's sheet 9/12, so that problem will be gone in a reasonable amout of time, but until it's finished, it has priority, otherwise it causes delays.

Didn't someone have some diceless worldbuilding game? I remember us talking about that.

If that doesn't pan out, we can always improvise something in FATE. And i have a half-written CoC scenario that i am planning to run at the PnP club thingy here in Munich next weekend, the main things are done but i still need to polish it up a bit.

Or maybe someone else has something cool?

So whats the plan after mad science this week? (Assuming it ends which sven thinks it will). Has someone volunteered to run something already? If not I would like to run either dnd or cthulhu as a short 4-8 week campaign, whichever has more interest.

No, no internet yet. May have to throw a oneshot or two in there while I get sorted. I dont have specific plans yet so ill have a look at some premade scenarios and see what I think. I would like to go more investigative, but after masks im not sure how to actually make you guys scared of stuff that isnt a boss monster and do things that dont include loading up with shotguns etc. At least not in the first hour of the game.

Also, it highly depends on the player characters. If not everyone is a shotgun wielding maniac, pretty much anything mythos is very scary. Plus the main scary isn't really how dangerous the monster itself is, but the figuring out what is going on. You can also go for the route of more personal horror compared to the cosmic "The world is gonna end" horror of Masks.

And if everyone is a shotgun wielding maniac, just have something that is pretty immune to bullets. Or that does scary things in a way that can not be solved by running around with a shotgun.

Well the shotgun thing was more an example of the attitude that we developed towards the end of masks than a specific fear. Still, ive had some pretty cool ideas rattling around in my head today. None of them involving shoggoths, because shoggoths suck and are in no way cool.
