I think Lucas is just pointing out how dragged out the CoC campaign was feeling towards the end (no knock to you Sven, I don't think it was your fault :D), a oneshot would be alright I think. Personally my issue with it is that to have a really kickass time with CoC you really need a group that can immerse themselves in the game and really help make the atmosphere scary or creepy. Given the fact that roleplaying games are so mental, we can only really get scared if we allow ourselves to, and honestly our group (and now that I think of it, every group I've played with) is very casual, and we tend to crack jokes and make light of things. Which honestly is the way I like to roll with these groups, and I couldn't really see myself trying to scared, or taking things really seriously.

So in the vein of being chill, I'm cool with whatever.

Thats about as non committal as it gets there jack. I dont really want to run a oneshot honestly, i would much rather a short campaign. So if people dont want CoC as a campaign im happy to do something else.

Nope, it was me for CoC. Though i'd also like Fate, but i can only give one vote. Plus i think Andrew only offered CoC and DnD

Oh, I should probably have been in here some time during the week, all kinds of stuff going on. I am definitely fine with playing both CoC and DnD. I guess since Lucas said last week he possibly wanted to run a DnD game some time in the future we could have Andrew run something in CoC?

So yeah, I'll vote CoC here. Do you think putting a limit on combat skills during character creation would help us be less prone to shoot at things? Or would that leave us defenseless against horrors you've got planned and do want us to fight?
