I don't have oyster sauce but I do have hoisin sauce, will that work as a replacement? Other than that, looks great! Gotta try it myself next week.
|

Hoisin will work, but it will be much sweeter.

I don't have a tripod. :\
I'm using a point and shoot (Olympus pen epl1) that has autofocus. Since I don't know that much about photography, I don't really switch the settings beyond the default auto settings.

Nah. Everything's put in a big baking dish so it comes out at the same time.
It was pretty squishy when it was done though!

If I become rich I'm going to hire you to be my personal chef..

You don't have to wish, just do it. :D I literally have no "formal" training in cooking -- I just jumped in and started cooking stuff I saw on TV or online.

Haha, it's a bit of both... But the entire dish itself is savory. It just happens to have some sweetness from the plums (helps balance out all that salty pork).

No prob! I think the square one was like $5?
Sometimes they have sales and coupons -- that's usually when I buy other plates and such.

When all of it cooks in the dish, you get a nice big puddle of pork juices + seasonings. Then you can dip the pork in it.

good mother of all that looks delicious

On October 26 2012 01:48 Boonbag wrote: Why your pics are so out of focus everytime ?
it's not so much that he's bad photographer, and they're not really out of focus, they're just blurry. The blur is caused by 3 things: focus isn't perfect, camera isn't perfectly still, and compression artifacts.
I think the largest factor is the lack of stability. The shutter speed is too slow for a perfect hand-held shot, especially if you plan on cropping afterwards. Faster shutter speed or a small tabletop tripod would vastly improve the quality of the images. You think your shots are sharp, then you try a tripod and a 2 second timer and you'll never go back.

Well I am making Overlord tendrils aka bacon... because I could not make that with what I have now. Bacon: The Dinner of Champion.
|
Tasty.
I had a pork bonanza this weekend. It's a really great meat to work with - very versatile with a great taste no matter what form you're working with.
|
Making this right now... Hope it's good
