So today I have played 5 games so far, wich is my minimum goal every day.
I won all of them!
The best part about it though was that all five games were long macro games. I've been having trouble winning longer macro games but now when I really focus I feel it's going quite well.
I still slip up on basic things like larva injects and my queens have all sorts of energy. Something that's been improving a lot though is my creepspread as well as my drone production. I always have way more money then I can use though.
I tried using the "macro calculator" http://acslayer.webs.com/ but since I have so bad larva-injects I get way low results on it.
I have also started teching to Hive. Unlike what I did before. I watched the first part of Day9's newbie tuesday about zerg that recently came out and he said that the main focus should be drones, upgrades and winning at hive. So I started doing this and well, it's been going way better.
So what I need to work on the most is larva-injets and spending my money, those go hand in hand.
I also need to work on teching to hive more quickly. And I need to work on poking with lings and so forth, keep my opponent on the backfoot.
First and foremost the macro though!
I don't think I'm done playing for the day yet though. I'll probably play more tonight. but for now I gotta get out in to the nice weather. We don't get a lot of it in Sweden!

I could take a lesson from that daily I think. After playing Z since the dark days, my mentality is perma stuck at "kill them before they grow"

Awesome to hear, it's refreshing to have somebody say they're doing well (of course, the majority of threads/blogs are people seeking help due to poor results, but still). Now go enjoy some of that weather, five straight wins is something to be quite happy with.
And Roe, don't worry. One day you'll get on a streak and cause some other person to quit in sadness... I'm not sure if I'm trying to be motivational or honest... hmmm

Queen injects and spending money obviously go hand in hand. The more larva you have the more you can spend on building units.
But there are so many other things you could be spending your money on beside just units.
Here are some other thoughts as well next time you see yourself with a lot of money.
1) Do I currently have upgrades going? If you don't have enough gas for upgrades then can you build more extractors? If you can't build more extractors are you sure you have 3 drones on each gas? Remember upgrades include attack and armor but things like ling baneling speed and overlord drop and infestor energy.
2) Expand! and/or macro hatches! Seriously if you have 2k minerals and no larva, throw down 2 or 3 extra hatches. And immedialy start building queens to go with them.
3) Tech structures. Put down a spire, or a infestation pit. Even if you don't plan on building a ton. It can make tech switching easier later.
4) Spines! and or spores. If you have good creap spread, put down like 10-15 spines in the middle of the map at the path your enemy is likely to come. REmember to reproduce the drones you just used. Or if it is really late game, put down a handful of spines to make food supply for one more broodlord.
I hope that helps you. I play protoss. And I am in Plat league. I generally start to float minerals on three bases. The second I notcie I have a lot of mins, I put down more gates, cannons, an extra forge (3 total... why not research shields if I have a ton of money???)

Oh, thanks for the tips. And yeah, I need to remember to build macrohatches. It seems to be something I neglect as well as building spines.
