Roach baneling drops?
Try the new ZvZ style you made a guide about but in this matchup! Defend with infestor spine until ultra then uber push!

I also read a guide or something once about Ultralisk baneling deathball. I tried it a few times and its actually quite lol-worthy. However, I was in a lower league at the time (probably around low diamond at the time) so I don't know how well it translates into high masters. But the idea is that ultras break the forcefields, the only thing keeping banelings from giving toss armies big splashy hugs.

Nydus can do wonders the bigger the map.. Mass infestor with nydus. I Saw Losira do this on stream once, he would just nydus everywhere and spam infested terrans and then run away, toss hard really hard time dealing with it.

Another way to get aggressive somewhat midgame, is to use more drop play. Infestor roach baneling can do wonders to trade armies.

But yeh, I am with you Blade. Tired of sittng and turtling...for 40 minutes just to get vortexed and rage quit

Hmm I may try hydra/ultra and ultra/ling/bane/infestor as well. Sound like interesting ideas to try out as well as nydus and baneling drops. Going to just do all this stuff which will make my opponents go "wtf!" hopefully :D

You should try hydraling as DIMAGA did at some tournament vs col.Killer on Metropolis in March. It was awesome to watch how he won battles vs colossi and HT with that unit comp. Later on any tech is probably viable. I think it would be nice to add baneling bombs and corruptors but you don't need to rush them even if your opponent has colossi or HT already out, you should focus on getting a huge eco ( ~90 drones ) and just throwing stuff at the opponent with this unit composition. Of course, you have to have good creep spread and/or overlord drops to be aggressive.

Awesome! Because of your new ZvZ guide I literally haven't lost any except 1 since i started using it.
And if you look at Luckyfool's blog we obviously can sleep through all of our ZvTs.
It's only toss giving trouble at the moment. Dimaga's play at dreamhack is pretty great though :D

Gold Protoss player here. Zerg is my toughest match up, and the thing that gets me is when a Zerg doesn't let me expand to my third while he takes 3-4 bases. A couple of different strategies that have got me:

- Roach drop inside the main.
- Roach/Hydra deathball. Especially if I don't have enough collossi up.
- Brood lords absolutely destroy me if I don't have a mothership.
- Mass mutalisks. Unless they are using high templars with storm or archons. They're devastating even to large groups of stalkers, but you need upgrades + their mobility is so annoying.

At the very least keeping a medium sized speedling army on the map stopping a Protoss expand is devastating in the lower leagues. And as a Protoss I always feel slow and immmobile... abuse the fact that toss generally have one giant army in one place.

In saying that, I'm Gold league so take it or leave it
