after close to 8 hours of practicing over the past two days, and 200k in repair bills, i finally managed to beat inferno diablo.
it feels like a massive load has been taken off of me. ive been consumed for the past week, and its finally gone. honestly i feel amazing, my head is free.
so many headaches struggling through the various inferno walls and i made it. countless hours spent dying over and over again. flareups from my forearm tendonitis as well as a pinched ulnar nerve. missed class, missed homework, missed social life, missed gym time.
i havent been exilerated like this by a game in a long time. it was a fantastic journey but im glad it is over. big thanks to blizzard for making such an addicting game.

i rotated between a few different farms in order to keep my mind fresh. each also give different things so it was nice.
1. gold farm in act 3 nm. can make like 180k an hour with a gold find set. get a massive pickup radius, at least 30 or so. 2. butcher/warden with 5 valor. you can get at least 3 easy valor's in act 1 by going into the festering woods caves. 2 easy champs there. there is also an event you can start by the beginning for another. 3. pygmy farm in act 2 inferno. i noticed this guy when i was doing hell. he spawns by the ancient path waypoint and up the ramp. kinda of boring since he doesnt spawn all the time but pretty easy. 4. chest farm in act 2 inferno. there is a resplendent that spawns in the beginning area in the middle-left. not everytime but a decent amount. this is a little harder to get to if you are undergeared. you take the wp where the enchantress clears the bridge. 5. last thing i did was do bridge runs in act 3 inferno. extremely easy mobs + you have tyrael. boss at the end with good drops.

I haven't been able to get further than nightmare (started playing wednesday - had to finish my Bachelor first). I have to admit at least my wizard (act3) is having a really hard time. I guess im undergeared cuz i havent played with much MF. Any tips on how not to die/improve?
Gratz on beating inferno ^^

with what class did you do it?
(on a side note, did you stick with the first char you made or did you change)

Gratz on beating inferno ^^ Everything before the end of hell is piss easy, so it's either that you've been really unlucky with gear, or your skillbuild is terrible. What are you running, where is your problem? If you have low survivability, start using some form of kiting style. If you have decent survivability but feel like you're doing too little damage, go for a more direct damage style (mirror image duplicate into arcane orb with obliteration spam does a ton of damage).
If your gear is just downright horrible, go to AH and search for something fitting, gear below inferno level is extremely cheap.

Its not that Ive hit a wall. But i seem to be dying way more often than i think i should. (Ive come to the catacombs or whatever its called, and died maybe 7-8 times). Ive got way more damage-output on the next lvl (44 - already crafted the item), but like now i even have trouble using direct damage spells (ray of frost/disintegrate) against elites/bosses with difficult buffs. Maybe i havent experimented enough with spells/passives/etc, i havent played _that_ many hours. Mirror images do damage too? What builds do you reccomend?
