1. Ahhh ok, the reason for the post is that I have had trouble really understanding how to start relationships, "friendships or romantic" and i recently found a book that really... explains it very clearly lol. the book is a textbook for communication in everyday life, it's a universty textbook so... it's pretty legit.
book: Communication theories for everyday life / John R. Baldwin, Stephen D. Perry, Mary Anne Moffitt.
2. Anyways, I personally didn't really know, but obviously this is common sense to most people, BUT, I know some people don't have that common sense, I certainly didn't until like... i read this lol. So you may read this stuff and be like, "oh man, i already knew all this." but i personally would have really benefited from reading this
3. but yeah anyways, it goes through on how two people who don't know each other may start talking to each other, what they can talk about, how they can grow closer or apart, what they can talk about to increase closeness... yeah, very interesting stuff.
4. bonus... i personally actually already found all sorts of stuff on close relationships via close relationships psychology but none of it really... accurately describes the communication process in how to start a friendship in general. obviously talking to them is the first step but... i didn't make that... logical connection.
5. here is what im talking about ;D
