Greetings All, May i start of by saying that i played League of Legends for close to year almost non stop. I took a break for the game simply because i got frustrated by the whole Game. I Recently moved back to Starcraft 2 in the search of actually getting good at one game... Lol wasnt going to be it. When looking at the two games in general SC2 is going to be the game that you would want to get better at. Why? simply because there are too many compents in League Of Legends that the player is not control of, where as Starcraft 2 you are literally in Charge of every unit available on your side of the game. This is a key point to note, if you invest time in league of legends the time spent getting better will not win you games if your team isnt good. In contrast if you spend time in StarCraft 2 you will find you will win more often simply because you are a good player. Point made is this Sc2 allows you to win if you are a good player, Lol dosent provide the same opportunity because it is a team oriented game... you may be the best player in the world but if your team sucks your not going to win. it can be argued that you can lead your team to victory by comunication... but really the community of lol is left lacking because every player is so critical and ignorant to realize hey maybe the team should be on the same page as far as gameplay goes. the politics and the wide scale of varying skill in a given game in lol is all together a flawed system when compaired to Sc2.

Good luck and welcome back :D

Nice to have you back from the Dark Side. =) Have fun guys!

i've just done the opposite :D have fun

I love playing LoL, its not even close to as demanding as playing SC2 is so its pretty nice to play if you just want to relax.
|
LoL or other moba games are good if you have friends to play with. While starcraft is good for solo gaming.

I've actually gone the opposite way since I got the dota2 beta, I play mostly dota2 and bw, though with this season I want to try and play more sc2, but it's going to be very tough because you only have limited amount of free time.

I don't see the point of this blog, it's biased and simply not true.
LoL and SC2 are completely different games with completely different goals and playstyles. You can't compare the two anymore than you can compare checkers and Call of Duty. If you want to play SC2 over LoL, go ahead, but LoL is just as hard to play as SC2, just in different ways. Don't try to justify you being bad at LoL by saying it's a flawed game, just stop playing it.
Oh, and by the way, HotshotGG, saintvicious, and a couple other high ranking players have proven time and time again that you will get where you belong in the elo system, period. They have carried games literally 1v5 to win from 0 elo all the way back up to 2200ish. Yes, you lose some games no matter what you do, but it's the same in SC2, you make a large mistake, it'll cost you the game. In LoL, a bad enough mistake will cost the game, funnily enough, they're the same.
Matchmaking in both games makes it so you have a 50% win ratio, so yes, in both games you're going to lose, period.

Making yourself a better player will get you in high Elo. a good player will try to control the things that are usually not controlled by himself into his favor.

HoN > LoL
Much more skill-based (still contains the possibility of getting selfish allies... But the game is far better than LoL)

Sorry I tried to follow your English and I'm pretty forgiving but as you've stated you're from the USA I just gave up after a bit. Good luck on whatever your attempting to do...

No kidding.
Comparing cosmetology(LoL) and quantum physics(SC2) when he should be comparing quantum physics (SC2) and quantum chemistry (DotA2).

wow the LoL vs SC2 dichotomy is exactly the same as SC2 vs BW hahaha.

Playing any team game as an individual will always lead to frustration. Play with an organised team or people you know to have a better experience.

I stopped playing LoL after reaching level 30 because the players just make me rage... though i never express that in the chat.
A reason why many people enjoy LoL is because as a team game it's easy to lay blame on others instead of accepting that you made a mistake... and too many people seem to love to express that in the chat with rage for others whenever they themselves do something stupid. "Why didn't you ********** *** ** ***** *** (run past 2 towers at level 2 and) kill him?" and stuff.
Solo-Queue is no fun.
In SC2 1v1, everyone has only himself to blame for a loss (though many like to blame the races ).
I may have to play LoL again though because my colleagues want to play it... + Show Spoiler +The only one of them that i have on the friendlist goes around 0-10 or at best 1-15 in every game while playing tristana and akali -.-

Support is actually quite hard to play. If he isn't good as support, he won't reach the same elo just like a Terran main won't get as high with Zerg if he's weaker with Zerg. I wouldn't reach the same elo playing Bruiser or AP or Jungle as I get with AD or support, simply because I main AD and support. On the other hand, I don't really have much trouble rising in elo with support.
