nah, i am a lazy student xD but i might actually do that at some point, strategy section is massively outdated (but who would've thought with a new game^^ ). And i dont contrbute at all around here, feeling guilty now TT

A huge edge of doing a drop is the unexpected nature of the drop. Shuffling around with a medivac while your hellions heal inside gives your opponent ample time to prepare, and you already lost the element of surprise. It's much better to load a fourth hellion and deal more damage while surprise is still on your side.

Well I think pretty clearly a 4th hellion is better. But the way natural 111 timings work out is you only have 3 hellions done when medivac pops. I do an opening with this a LOT, but I allways just take 2 marines with my 3 hellions because I think most of the time vs P and T who have decent early anti-air you don't want to risk losing the medivac. (particularly if you are going into banshee after so you can't make more. Its very important to keep alive.) However vs zerg who have only queens to shoot your medivac early two scv may be more valuable than 2 marines.

As to the repair costs, I have done this before and it didn't feel like it was costing extra and I was pretty sure bug has been fixed for some time. But I have not rigorously checked.

Plus you can drop again much faster than having to go home or w.e
If the repair cost is normal in medivacs now, this seems viable.

i remember i saw qxc do this with viking drops. he had a viking and 2 scvs in a medivac and dropped the viking over and over again.

I think that this is too cheap. Should cost more. No wonder scv-thor rushes are so powerful and planetary fortresses takes forever to kill.
A lock that opens to many keys is a bad lock. A key that opens many locks is a master key.

What was patched is that SCVs can't repair themselves inside bunkers and medivacs. People would do a crazy bunker rush with only one SCV, Any time it was damaged, they would put it inside the bunker, repair itself and then repair the bunker or build more of them. Yes, literal auto-repair.

nice balance whinning bro. Can you enlight me about the last thor-rushes which worked at pro lvl. Last one was MMA-Naniwa at blizz cup but before ???
