I lost a TvP on Antiga Shipyard where the Protoss went with the infamous 3 Cannons ramp wall-in into 17 cannons 3base expand off of 6 Immortals (2 Robos) into 4 Colossus, 10Gateways and 3 Stargates on 3 bases.

Yes, you read the first words right, I actually lost to that. Oh and he peeked at 35 APMs to in case you were wondering.

Strongly considering suicide at this point.

wtf

I knew I wasn't the smartest of the bunch but I never would of thought I was actually that retarded. I'm dumbfounded by my own stupidity.

Find me a nice looking bridge so I can jump the fuck off it.

Oh man rofl.....still though sometimes wacky and subpar shit can end up working just because it's so ridiculous you kind of write it off as a possibility. Therefore no Seppuku necessary.

If you get your opponent sufficiently behind at the start, everything becomes viable. It seems as if you lost the game to a cannon rush, only that the toss chose to collect the win only later.

Did he build 17 Cannons ?

The cannons were in his base. He walled himself in at his ramp with 3 cannons, built 3 around his main nexus and like 10+ around his third base.

So TvP from a terran point of view is stabbing yourself while jumping off a bridge

what happened to 1-1-1?

Rather than rushing to seppuku, young warrior, heed the words of sensei Yamamoto Tsunetomo, who says:

A certain swordsman in his declining years said the following:
In one's life, there are levels in the pursuit of study. In the lowest level, a person studies but nothing comes of it, and he feels that both he and others are unskillful. At this point he is worthless. In the middle level he is still useless but is aware of his own insufficiencies and can also see the insufficiencies in others. In a higher level he has pride concerning his own ability, rejoices in praise from others, and laments the lack of ability in his fellows. This man has worth. In the highest level a man has the look of knowing nothing.

These are the levels in general. But there is one transcending level, and this is the most excellent of all. This person is aware of the endlessness of entering deeply into a certain Way and never thinks of himself as having finished. He truly knows his own insufficiencies and never in his whole life thinks that he has succeeded. He has no thoughts of pride but with self-abasement knows the Way to the end. It is said that Mastery Yagyu once remarked, "I do not know the way to defeat others, but the way to defeat myself."

Throughout your life advance daily, becoming more skillful than yesterday, more skillful than today. This is never-ending.

TuElite, Kefka's right. I died to a worker rush once on Metalopolis all because I decided to make 3 drones instead of 3 sets of zerglings when my pool popped and we were dancing in my main. Why? Because my brain went shot and I thought somehow that drones would be a better choice over lings. GG

When I started playing I lost to a player who floated their first CC to the island on Scrap Station and proceeded to turtle up to mass BCs off 1 base because I was too shitty to make more than 1.5 bases worth of production while I had every base on the map, and tried to stick to the marine tank play that I'd seen in the GSL.

lol no that's the thing he was never ahead but at the end when he engaged. I could have won the games over 9000 different times and I didn't. This is about me failing really really really abnormally hard, not him succeeding.

i won one of these games.

it was right after sc2 beta ended, on steppes, i got proxy gate+forge canoned, and held with bunkers preventing further canon advance.

there were about 10 cannons in my main, and like 7-8 zlots defending them. i massed MM and a few ghosts off 3 rax/acad, i finally chipped away with kiting + angles that i engaged at to reduce damage taken and broke through everything.

i then saw that he took my gold (steppes as you know has the gold near natural) and that there were several (at least 8 for sure) starports making what looked like carriers. i managed to unpower them before anything came out, killed his cannons there and lifted to natural/won.
