Not sure how it would work in a rice cooker but it wouldn't even constitute making fried rice in the first place. To fry means it needs hot oil and pan, neither of which fit into a rice cooker very well. You're better off just learning how to make it how i outlined, its one of the simpler things to cook. and for everyone that's curious, I spilled some water on my mousepad earlier and just left it there instead of wiping it up because im lazy.

You should try adding fried kimchi (chopped up). It becomes more epic.

Does it ever reach a point where it feels almost like you added a lot of oil? "If there's too much grease just pour some into a jar and save it for later" You don't need too much grease, just enough to brown the garlic and onions, and enough to scramble the eggs.

An intriguing mind wants to know Which part of Asia are you from? Asians use garlic often. Garlic is basically an herb, it makes things more aromatic for the most part, with the tradeoff being your breath smells like shit afterwards. The taste itself is negligible in a dish like fried rice.
