I used to fear 1vs1 ladder durig the first 3 seasons.
As a result, I started to play team games. You can see how addicted to them I was:
Season 1: http://sc2ranks.com/eu/870038/darkness/season/1
Season 2: http://sc2ranks.com/eu/870038/darkness/season/2
Season 3: http://eu.battle.net/sc2/en/profile/870038/1/darkness/ladder/lastseason/leagues
It's really shameful that I had to play more than 1000 (about 700 last season) team games in order to realise a simple truth: 1vs1 ladder is the real deal.
I don't know what's the exact reason. It might be team games are often one dimensional (rush/cheese), it might be because I'm tired of random retarded allies or just that I want new experience. I don't know.
What I know, however, is I'm doing my best to learn to accept losses and deny ego.
As Margaret Thatcher has said: "I do not know anyone who has gotten to the top without hard work. That is the recipe. It will not always get you to the top, but it will get you pretty near"
I know I haven't played many games yet, but I finally feel motivated!
P.S. neither picture is mine
