Since when do you need to care about what other people think or say. You are the only person that is in control of your life, you make the calls. Just do something that is your passion, ask yourself every day: Am I happy with my life? How do I feel RIGHT NOW? If you can answer these with yes and good, then why care about all the bullshit circling around it.

Milkis, I think you might be overreacting a bit on this. Everyone on the internet who is someone gets hate/trolled/threatened, it is the internet, dont take it to heart. What happened was a heated exchange between people who absolutely love what they do, people love other e-sports that are not brood war. and you love brood war. Certain sentences in that article, no matter how you preface them or cushion them would've lead to angry reactions, and they did.

But I guess you have made your decision, I wish you the best of luck with your future plans.

Milkis, I know one person's opinion isn't enough to change a decision this huge, but I always liked you. As a community, we got to see you grow as a person, and it was great seeing you smiling (nervous or because of happiness) on stage.

Regardless of what all the haters say, you were an awesome guy, and the community as a whole will miss you. I wish you luck in whatever you move on to :D

I've always really enjoyed the stuff you do for the community. You should think about it some more. Making life changing decisions isn't something you do over night.
It is pretty blatent that you're angry right now. Atleast take some time to cool off before making an actual decision. Please.

Also, haters gonna hate. You're a big figure in the community, anyone hating on you is way out of line.
And I hope, by reading the replies in this thread you realise how much the community actually loves you. And that the people who love you, vastly outnumber the haters out there.

Milkis shouldn't lose his time with such a shitty community as "reddit". Anonymity + karma based system just encourages herd behavior and shitty posts with zero accountability. But i'm guessing you are going to be back to TL because you love starcraft too much.

Also, DJ Wheat was a tool with you, just flattering the mainstream views of reddit to gain some karma points from the "community". Good thing about being a university student in one of the best programmes in the United States is you don't need to be a dick to please reddit.

Milkis, as soon as you got involved into inviting MarineKing over to MLG you were suddenly in the spotlight. You took almost the whole responsibility for the whole transaction. How can you not expect to get into the spotlight? You were basically the one making it happen, don't play it down.

At this point, you can't turn down this responsibility anymore. You don't want to be in the spotlight, you want the players to be? Guess what?! That was impossible from that point. You made it happen. Of course people now want autographs from you!

Also, you suddenly got involved in translating interesting stories; things happening while the koreans traveled or stuff in general that you "over hear".

With the fame not only did you gain new fans but also haters. You have to always expect that to happen.

You really should take a time out, a week or so, think things through and toughen up a bit. Don't read so much in the forums OR don't take things seriously. I am awaiting you in Providence!

No Milkis pls dont =( Never listen to the reddit community. You see what they did and do to Incontrol, Kelly, JPmcdaniell and even on others. I myself read and disagree with your opinion but i can respect it and i´m sure people who really cared to read the whole thing do respect it either. i dont know what happened between you and DJWhead but i also think he would never want you to quit because of it. But if you really feel like quitting i can respect that either looking at the community (especially the reddit one) you would do it for which totally dosnt deserve enything but shit themselfes.

I don't really know what you expected when tried to shit on the SCII (and many other games) scene on a subreddit filled with SCII fans... I cannot fathom why you would think posting something like what you did was in any way a worthwhile idea... You are welcome to your opinion of course, but when it's derogatory and in the minority it was never going to go down well publicly

sad to see you go, milkis. i, for one, never had a bad word to say about you. you organized the whole MKP venture by yourself and i know for a FACT that the entire reddit community WORSHIPPED you for doing so. Odds and Ends? your blog? its GREAT! what you do there is awesome!

you're a great person for the community. i'm sorry that a lot of people didn't recognize by your own self-admission that you were being elitist in your opinion. but i'm more sorry that you're listening to people that "shit" on you, to use your own vernacular.

if everyone listened to the haters (incontrol, totalbiscuit), where would we be? we wouldn't have a pillar on state of the game (one of my favorite pillars, i might add..regardless of ability to perform) and a terrific caster.

i hope you change your mind and realize that the actions of a few outweigh the many more favorable opinions you dont need to hear simply because they're negative. we're the silent majority. and we love you being a part of the community. the vocal minority doesn't know what they're talking about.

if you don't choose to reconsider, i do wish you well with whatever you decide to do.
