"You guys don't know how lucky you are to have me!" From your MLG blog "I was overwhelmed by nervousness" "This other guy I know translates better"... This is the type of criticism that pushes you over the edge into ragequit dramaqueen mode? Send me a PM I might be able to refer you to some help. Now this is a beautiful paragraph. This is the attribute people love about you, milkis. You translating twitter posts, organizing pro-gamer funds, it's great to remind us about your past deeds in a goodbye posts....but wait.... Turns out that whole paragraph was just to set us up "See what you guys have lost! See what you guys have brought onto yourselves!" Again, PM me when you get the chance. I absolutely love you <3

What does western "eSports" do? OMG YOU SAYING FUCK YOU TO DAIGO AND EVERY OTHER ESPORTSSSSSS. Everyone could have just told Milkis why he was wrong instead of acting like a insecure little girl. Milkis isn't the only drama queen in this entire stupid debacle. I will miss lurking for BW news that milkis provide but no one should have to put up with this retarded insecure community.

In case you do read this, if even half of what you said about the way you feel is true, don't let anyone convince you into getting back into this stuff, Milkis. It's not worth it.

and this isn't sucking his whatever to beg him back, its from one man who commited a wrong to the one who recieved my wrong, not without reason of course. An open to letter milkis As one of your abusers, I want to say that I’m sorry that I took it so far. I can’t speak for the rest of the community but I can speak for myself. You are an accidental hero, and your fall from grace was just as accidental. I admit that I knew about your BW bias for a while now and honestly it’s not just you. Many of my Korean friends agree with you, and don’t even know what CS 1.6 or even what Halo is. So I can understand your ignorance. Still by just quitting, maybe that was not the best choice to make. It is understandable why you did it though, but ignorance is no excuse. I would follow you on twitter religiously because you were part of the all-important bridge between Koreans and foreigners. The best part was seeing how you became more and more excited by how much love the community gave you. Sadly, you also felt that brother to love, hate. I know only part of what you did for the community such as; consistent translations, interviews with Korean players, keeping the community up to date on what is happening on korea, having the time to do all those things. You will be missed, in fact you are already missed. On reddit there are loyal fans who understand you made a mistake but don’t want you to go away, and have been risking their kharma points on it all day, but there are also many many detractors that will not let go of their anger. (with good reason I should add) What you did on your original article may have been a bad wording or an attempt at beginning a heated discussion but it seems you overestimated the innocence of reddit and underestimated the hateful minority that lay in wait for anyone to make a mistake. No matter your error, the wrong committed against you was not of equal amount but it was also no without reason. Most of the forieng community are made up of remnants of other communities, I myself come from the halo community. You cannot expect forgiveness or pity or anything really in return, if you ever choose to return. What you can expect is silent respect and a purpose that touches the lives of thousands on both sides of the ocean. One mistake should not be your downfall but it will be if you allow it. It may be difficult, it may be painful beyond belief, but you have to stand up and face your accusers head on and either defend yourself or admit that you were wrong. That is all milkis, gl gg wp

What progamers in here have been throwing hissy fits? DjWheat is a caster, and that was barely a hissy fit, he was just a bit frustrated with what Milkis said, and rightfully so. He told Milkis exactly why he was wrong, do you honestly expect the standard idiotic community of r/starcraft to give perfectly legitimate, non flaming responses to an a blog titled with elitism? Of course not. Milkis' "argument" was that BW is the only true e-sport because of its longevity, following, and difficulty (IN HIS OPINION) outranging any other e-sport by far. That may be true now, but what if in 10 years another game emerges that is harder than BW, and lasts for 20+ years with an even bigger following than BW. Would we disregard BW then? Would we say it was never an e-sport, and that Boxer just spent his time casually playing games, and was never an innovator of e-sports in general? How stupid would that sound? Milkis must not follow any other games except BW/SC2. Go to an SSBM tourney (which only has around 400 live participants these days) and see the passion the viewers and players still have for that game, which is almost as old as BW. Look at how the best pros do things that simply look impossible for normal human beings to do or predict (i.e. Flash/Jaedong/Bisu). Is BW harder than SSBM? Maybe, depending on how you look at it. But does that mean the amount of hours, finger bleeding effort that those melee players put in is not equal to the amount of hours Flash put in? At it's height of popularity, pros would practice ALL DAY LONG. Just like BW pros. The same goes for a ton of games I could mention. How can you look at evo moment 27 and say that isn't an e-sport? How can you look at Halo 2 championships back in the day and say that isn't an e-sport? Do you have any idea how many people would have come to watch Halo 3 at MLG if they KNEW it existed? Or weren't afraid what they're friends would think about them? Or could convince their families to let them go? We'd have had Blizzcon type crowds! But look how long it took westerners to be able to gradually see this as something serious, when in Korea it's been serious for 10+ years. You can't just ignore all that shit Milkis, then make your stupid BW elitist post, not expect to be flamed, then quit because you're flamed. That's dumb man. I loved BW too but god the elitism can be just disgusting...

Guess people show their true colours once someone leaves and you find out who your real friends are. Sorry, but if my best friend says something that legitimately offends me and discredits the work that hundreds of thousands of people have done, I'm not going to sugar coat it and say, "It's okay man, no worries". It's not like they're coming out and saying, "Well I've always hated that darn Milkis anyway", they're just trying to show him bluntly where he went wrong.

Oh, come now. It's the same thing people do whenever they get told their major in college is a waste of time, easy, or somehow not as "legit" as another major. "Oh, you're studying English? I bet you have a load of free-time, huh?" "You study psych? That's not even a real science! What do you do all day?" "Marketing major, lol. What a joke." Do you seriously not expect most people to heatedly defend their interests and/or what they've chosen to do with their lives when they get confronted with a wall of text as direct and inflammatory as Milkis's? I honestly don't think Wheat's post is a "hissy-fit" as you've put it, since he kind of speaks like that all the time anyways, and, well, I think a lot of people in that thread showed their "passion" for other games simply through getting so riled up by his post. Anger is passion too, lest you forget. My favorite response was admittedly Zlasher's, though. It managed to sound both calm but passionate at the same time: Would love for Millkis to go to China, Russia, Ukraine, all over Europe, the Phillipines, Thailand, Singapore, and say that everyone who watches Dota is only a player and not a fan of the sport. Would love for him to see China and the explosive audience for WC3. To Sweden for Dreamhack to see counterstrike To Japan to see Gods Garden, and the highest level Street Fighter players on earth. Or even to America to see EVO or how damn loud Seasons Beatings can get. He has lived in his world of Starcraft and stands up for his game well good for him, but don't devalue what millions of others see in their game, where their points are equally as valid as his.
