So yesterday I posted a blog about an old jam we had recorded, but then when I was thinking back about that jam, that was just the first 50 minutes of a 2 1/2 hr jam. So most of it was warming up crap and just trying to find our groove, and we hadn't played together in a long long time.
Anyways I found another jam we had recorded about a month after the last one, it was also 2 1/2 hours long BUT 40 minutes of it was a little pre-jam jam between me (on bas) and the drummer Chase (on acoustic guitar) and then we played for another 2ish hours after Nate, our guitarist, got there. Stupid camera only has 8gb onboard memory and an 8gb memory stick in it and it records HD at about 8gb/hr so we missed the last 30 mins of that jam :'(
So I thought I would share the pre-jam jam here. It's a little less... chaotic, i think someone put it, than the last one I uplaoded. Just acoustic guitar and bass. It took me a little while to figure out something I kinda liked to play along with what he was doing, and I was just playing around with it the whole time, but he kept changing kinda randomly so I think I'm supposed to keep playing one part but he changes so half way through a measure I have to adjust what i'm playing
Thoughts on this one? Again, we were just jamming, not serious writing or anything so I wont be hurt if you don't like it
I REALLY need to practice more, I'm pretty lazy about it lol. But I just bought some new equipment so that's motivated me to play more recently.
*edit* Oh also! In the middle there's a bit where he's trying to explain to me something he wants me to try playing, and for some reason my mind was completely dead and I had no idea what he was trying to say and then when he tried to play it to show me what he meant he just exacerbated the problem by playing it differently then what he was saying I did get it eventually and played it like that later throughout the song.
