You may have been able to deduce from my post count the fact that I'm a lurker, and have been for a few months now. This is primarily because I'm not nearly good enough at the game to contribute anything insightful to discussions regarding any aspect of it. Nonetheless, I fail with enthusiasm, and my mother always told me that it suffices.
Fortunately I have one (and exactly one) skill: I'm moderately successful in using the Galaxy Editor. This is a result of wasting lots of time in Warcraft III's World Editor. My brother and I have decided to conjure up a terrifyingly gigantic project in creating a single-player story, completely removed from SC2's original gameplay and lore (bless its heart). Oh look, a hastily-thrown-together video barely conveying a single morsel of information about it! Better click play.
It's worth noting that the only thing considered final in that video is the way that the camera and mouse interact (though point-and-click shooting will see further development). Everything else- from the crappy over-powered weapons, to the depthless enemies and playable character- is simply a placeholder.
This isn't really a hype video, because releasing hype videos is indicative of an intention to finish the project sometime soon (plus, they're supposed to be exciting). And while we have every intention of finishing it, it will not be soon. Rather, I felt compelled to broadcast the fact that I'd made a little red arrow which tracks objectives, and it seemed cool enough to share with all of you fine folks.
Stay tuned in, because next week I'm going to attempt to fight two Ultralisks... At the same time! (And then perhaps write an unrelated blog entry.)
(Edited a little for the sake of readability.)
